  1. Yeah Nicholson is a machine. Has added responsibility now that Bartram has retired. If his disposal is better than Bartram's it'll be an upgrade. I was impressed with his leadership at Wednesdays session.

Ibrahimovic's goal last night anyone? Or goals for that matter. What a display. But that goal was nuts.
  3. And Maynard isn't fighting Lauzon. Getting sick of this, and a little suspicious, maybe they're pissing hot too close to fight time? Really wanted to see Carwin and Nelson... Yeah I meet him and get a photo taken and stuff, not really my thing usually but should be cool. Haha not sure I'm game to ask about the tattoo! There's a cool interview he did with Mike Schiavello where he drew a tattoo on the back of Mike's head. Might shave up and get him to draw me one.
  4. Positive mate! I would've given you guys the heads up but I didn't even find out about it until long after it sold out. I think AFC4 went on sale this week. Soa The Hulk vs Sean McCorkle. It's no chillin' with Wanderlei, but it's somethin'.
  5. His hardness won me over in the end, I'd pick him despite disposal queries because he'd run through a wall to get the ball and tackled like everyone should. Good luck, you deserve some.
  6. I only saw him do laps, but he was doing them at a good speed for such a big boy (he's wider than Jamar) and he looked to be doing it easy, pretty good for his fist session. I'm not surprised though, he is a pro at training and preparation apparently. With blokes like Jones, Clark, Dawes, McDonald and Nicholson setting the standards at training, hopefully it's a new breed of professionalism we have to drive this team and culture forward.
  7. I am and I do. It's not just how he spells it. Hopefully anyone that reads it that doesn't know the difference between his and he's takes note and makes life moron free for all of us. It's never too late to better yourself, especially if it's something as simple as a three letter word.
  8. For what it's worth... I had a chat to Neil Craig, and we've all heard already that we're in better shape than last year, but he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about it and emphasized that we are in much better shape now than this time last year.
  9. It's a pretty simple correction, you can either take it on board and apply it in the future, or get all defensive about and continue to post like an uneducated dunce. Do you spell 'he's' correctly in private but not in public? Somehow I don't think so.
  10. I wandered down for a squiz, saw all of the running session. They ran 4, 3 minute laps in 4 groups. About a 1 minute break in between the 1st and 2nd runs, then a bit longer break in the last 2. Not a lot to report different from all of the other training reports. McDonald and Nicholson still lead every time in the top group. Nicho is very vocal, very supportive, switched on. Trengove is at the back of the top group most times, and a couple of times didn't look happy about it. Howe had a lot of tape on his lower back, sat out the last run, possibly the 3rd and was getting the lower back massaged. Blease trailed the last group, every time, by a fair distance. Every coach was encouraging him at every opportunity, same with Watts. Everyone got encouragement, but those two in particular frequently. At the start of the last run in Blease's group the coaches wanted him to get out fast, and there was some niggling between him and Sellar, then Frawley got stuck into him a bit as they took off. Nothing in it other than to fire him up, it was just interesting. Rodan, Byrnes and Gillies seemed to run what I think were repetitive 200's. The Geelong boys were sucking them in hard, Rodan looks like he could do it all day. Jamar, Fitzy and Dawes were running laps at a reasonable pace when it all started, Dawes is huge and fit. Bandage on the right knee. He later ran laps on his own, not sure how many, but a couple at a good pace, he was jogging at walking speed by the end. Fitzy and Jamar resumed laps towards the end, they were like a couple of race horses. Mitch was kicking a footy around for a while, and was chatting to his new gorilla side kick for a bit, warmed my heart it did. Davey wasn't there. Jones and Tappy were over the other side, doing ball work I think, not sure if Viney was with them too, but I didn't see much of them.
  11. I can't pick it. They both hit like a truck yet they both took an absolute hammering from JDS and didn't get KO'd. Logically it'd be Carwin by decision. But who knows, anything can happen of course, I'll be going for Big Cunch.
  12. My mate is training with him at his upcoming seminar, in Dandenong. Was meant to be in August, but Wandy's dad passed away in a car accident so it was postponed. My mate surprised me with a ticket, bless his heart. Should be interesting, I love Wanderlei.
  13. Roy Nelson... that fat tub of talent... I absolutely hated him on season 10 of TUF, could not stand him at all. Then somewhere along the line I started liking him. Not sure when or why, but he appealed to me over time and I love his fights, except for when Werdum schooled him. Where was I going with this?... Oh, I don't mind his coaching actually, at least he's hands on and is actually coaching, Carwin isn't doing [censored], just leaving it up to everyone else. Roy says some of the dumbest things I've ever heard, but now and then he'll come up with something brilliant. I'm a week behind on the Smashes, one of the poorer seasons entertainment and fight wise. But I wasn't expecting much. I felt for that Manny bloke though! What an effort. I wanted Thiago to keep going with the leg kicks, Nedkov looked like he was about to quit at one point. Brutal kicks.
  14. This season of the ultimate fighter is hilarious. Never laughed so much at one moron. He cries more than he throws punches. Mitch Clark being a big UFC fan, could he get any more awesome? Tito is still a [censored]. Cung Ke vs Franklin anyone? What a knockout! I won 200 on that card. Wasn't a bad card, wasn't great, but kept me interested. I'm on Condit. He has quick knees, could catch GSP going for the takedown. But yeah definitely a tactical fight. I'm meeting the Axe Murderer on Sunday, good times!
  15. Mitch Clark walked past me on the other side of the road as I headed to Richmond station this morning. 9 page essay on my emotions and physical reactions to follow...
  16. Tim is only a ridiculous name when grown men call themselves or accept being called 'Timmy'.
  17. Excellent reading, thanks for all the thoughts and reports.
  18. It's a 3 year contract as of now. Has an incentives bonus for each time he smiles I believe.
  19. Sweeping statement. It's Broomhead not Bonghead!
  20. Tim Broomhead would be alright. We need someone with a ridiculous name to sweep up across half back.
  21. Are you sure you (OP) aren't confusing Taggert and Tynan? Taggert ain't huge by any means and I wouldn't know him if I bumped into him wearing his MFC jumper and whatever his number is was on it. Tynan though is a fairly ripped unit.
  22. "Hurry up and put the weights on it! Can't... hold... much... longer..."
  23. Supporter Syndrome It's when you fear the worst, even when something good happens. e.g. "High five we just won a f^%$%n' flag! ...but hold on we probably breached the salary cap and we're going to be stripped of this"
  24. WTF. 27 is not 'gone' and we haven't used it, the draft hasn't happened yet, unless they borrowed your Delorian. There's no need to reopen anything, we only need to use our next pick after Ports, that could be pick 7 million and that would do. We just happen to have pick 27 as our next pick. So if we lost our first 2 picks, we'd be losing 4 and whoever we would've chosen at 49. Viney is locked in. Understand that.
