  1. I'd choose a different sport if tonight didn't satisfy you. A better display of finals intensity you'll rarely see, it was awesome. I hope North are prepared for it, they're mostly newbies and they could get embarrassed if the intensity was anything like tonight. Unwatchable.... seriously...
  2. It'd be even more damning if you compared the pics after Viney had his broken.
  3. I've done some extensive research into drafting over the last 5 minutes. Some say drafting is not an exact science, well I think I've come up with a formula to guaran-damn-tee us drafting success. Throw some decent coin at Craig Cameron and Big Bad Bazza Prendagast to return to the club and lead up the recruiting department. Come draft day, draft anyone that these two bozo's don't have on their list. Watch our hit rate suddenly sky rocket.
  4. I almost fantasised about microwaving next years membership. Better not be us.
  5. Cameron Bruce still thinks we can make the finals.
  6. Plausible? It should be norm for every bloody player. What sort of backyard operation were we running down there? I shakes me head.
  7. You obviously didn't read or search the article in the first post of this thread, I found it in about 0.02 seconds... http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/demons-exodus-continues-with-lucas-cook/story-fnelctok-1226465138150
  8. Rivers may want to play in finals, his body has taken a hammering over the years, who knows how long he has left. It has nothing to do with Neeld not liking him (what utter BS, in fact if you went by what so many on this site think, you'd believe only Jones, Clark and Howe could be in the same room as Neeld, what a joke) I know for a fact Neeld rates him, and played him in a position foreign to him because he knew he'd compete and was the best option. I'd be happy either way, we can cover losing him, and he deserves a crack at success. Whatever floats his boat.
  9. Unless they just announced the Aquatics Australia Diving Squad, I think you mean Lewis. ...how I'd love to have him at MFC...
  10. Put that as your sig, will save people the trouble of reading your posts.
  11. Nathan Jones: 8 - Won me over, tackling has improved, looked to be struggling towards the end but carrying 15 blokes will do that to ya. Mitch Clark: 9 - Not counting the injury, purely on the park. If he didn't mark it, he crumbed it and had a shot anyway. Aggressive, didn't drop his head like forwards tend to do, and didn't miss a beat when he had to get thrown into the middle. Would have been the recruit of the year if not injured and will win a Coleman in a decent team. Stefan Martin: 2 - Compared to his break-out form when Jamar went down, it's a 2. Jeremy Howe: 7 - Genuine highlight, not just the marks, also the zip, the overall game and the obvious room for improvement. Reminds me of Dale Thomas. I'm not worried about his kicking. Col Sylvia: 6 - I think he got going in the end, his class puts him above the battlers, I like to see him play a full season in the guts if he sticks around and dedicates himself to that role. Jack Trengove: 5 - Ugly early. Serviceable late. Not sure what the issue is, if there is one, hope he gets better either way. Jack Grimes: 7 - finally played virtually an entire year and got better as it went on - too many mistakes <- this Dan Nicholson: 5 - injuries didn't help, but was handy - needs to improve kicking <- this + decent Bartram replacement. Jack Watts: 4 - 4 for racking up possessions and most of the usage. Everything else was a fail and I am not a fan. Jordie McKenzie: 6 - Carried injuries but ultimately played his role better than most played theirs. Clint Bartram: N/A Cale Morton: 2 - he's a Morton <- LOL Mark Jamar: 3 - Can't remember a single good game from him. Jake Spencer: 2 - Harsh, but 1 point less than Jamar. James Frawley: 6 - Has lost something, I dunno, that determination not to be beaten the next contest. Just looked to be going through the motions. Joel MacDonald: 5 - Meh. 10 for endevor, minus 5 for errors. Tom McDonald: 8 - High marks considering his age and number of games played. Does well in the contests and is always there to mop up, disposal looked safer towards the end of the season, and he played well all season. Matthew Bate: 4 - Not a fan, but I thought he did alright in some of his games. James Magner: 4 - Not a fan. Thought I would be for life after his debut. But the disposal is ugly and the last 2/3 of the season was pretty much nothing. However I think Neeld should have left him smack bang in the guts. Lynden Dunn: 6 - It went NO, meh, yeahhh, then meh again, if you get what I'm saying. I'd keep him purely on his play-on-and-hit-a-target from defense ability. At least until someone better can do that. Col Garland: 5 - A bit like Chip, has just lost something, must be depressing back there. Rohan Bail: 3 - wtf does he even do? Brent Moloney: 1 - One for showing up on time? Brad Green: 4 - Classy guy til the end, poor last 2 seasons though. Jared Rivers: 8 - Was playing well down back and then put in a completely foreign roll where he did quite well, battled hard, made the most of the slops he was given. Sam Blease: 5 - 10 for potential, minus 5 for fitness. Luke Tapscott: 3.5 - For aggression, can't think of much else that he does. Needs to get way fitter. Aaron Davey: 2 - 1 for showing up on time, 1 for not being Brent Moloney. Jordie Gysberts: 2 - Huge disappointment. James Sellar: 5 - Handy, played the roles he was given. Nevile Jetta: 3 - Think I've seen enough, sadly. Ricky Petterd: 0 - Didn't fire a shot, don't care what time he showed up. Tom Couch: 1 - Yeah nah Liam Jurrah: 0 - Was going to give him 1 for possession... of a deadly weapon, but thought it'd offend the softies. Oops, just did. James Strauss: 4 - Wanna see more. Kudos for the comeback. Josh Tynan: 4 - Liked what I saw Jamie Bennell: 1 - For sympathy. He's no good though. Jack Fitzpatrick: 5 - Really liked what I saw at Casey
  12. It's Survivor: Melbourne Football Club Edition Neeld: "Ricky, the tribe has spoken" Petterd: "Yeah, well... I was leaving anyway!"
  13. I heard he's going to run down the road to the Westpac Centre to see if they're interested. They expect him to get there early next week.
  14. I've liked the the bit of him that I've seen. Only problem is my brain can't compute 'Dom Tyson' and insists that it's Tom Dyson.
  15. Judd Ballentyne Milne Maxwell King Sheedy...
  16. I said a few weeks ago, Jurrah and something for Boak... although not being contracted Port can get him for nothing. As much as I am a fan, we all got behind this bloke and he's quit on us, good riddance.
  17. It's all good, thought those posts might get the mop.
  18. My Elton John line was deleted? Aw come on man, that pearl would've broken the like button limit!
  19. The worst thing for me is how little passion I feel. It was a horrid season, and I should [censored] off or worried about where we're heading / excited about where we're heading... but nope, nothing. It's just meh, kick back and see what happens... Once upon a time I cared so much more.
  20. I said it 6 days ago and have woken up every day feeling the same way, what's going to happen tomorrow that's so special?
  21. Absolutely, trade him now. Get something for him. He's just going to be Josh Fraser / Travis Johnstone (if he's lucky) and tease until he fizzles away. Act now.
  22. I saw that, and was seriously impressed. And yep, Watts has never been in a contest as hard as that vision. lol
  23. Watts isn't on the list
  24. Actually I'd like to retract my earlier comments... I don't even think he'll become a good player.
