  1. Yours might have...mine were from Cornwall on one side and Scotland on the other. They probably didn't see 40 degrees in the bath (if they actually bathed...never can tell).
  2. I posted a relatively minor swear yesterday that I assumed would be censored and it seems to have slipped though. I was thinking of asking a similar question to you regarding the auto-censor but I couldn't be arsed.
  3. No way...I still get a bite every time from a Blues mate when I start giving him [censored] about their M&M jumper. Old dark Navy Blues my arse...
  4. Thanks Six6Six, superb stuff! Toddy has blown up like a second hand lawnmower... Vanders looks in terrific nick. I hope Oliver has some SPF50+ on those shoulders. My kids are both bloodnuts and are ghosts...they'd look tanned standing next to him.
  5. Mike Catt met him once too...he still doesn't know what hit him. Vale big fella.
  6. I confess to missing the start of #demonbracketclassic And now I see that Andy Goodwin didn't even make the main draw...can I vote retrospectively (and often)? It's an outrage...Andy was a cult hero, a hero, my hero in his time at the Dees. I used to arrive early to watch the twos from the top deck of the Southern Stand when he was playing...no-one was there so you could hear the players swearing, and the thump of fist on leather as Andy repelled attack after attack with his stoic defence. One day he was 40m in the clear on the half back flank, Southern Stand side at the Punt Road end, a high floater approached and he proceeded to use the double-fisted punch to send it about 25 rows back! All on his own, classic. No-one was at the ground yet (except me and my sister in the top deck) so it took an attendant about 5 minutes to find the ball and return it to the boundary umpire. One day after another punch from behind some other bloke (top deck, Southern Stand) stood up and bellowed "ANDY"...I like to think he's a Demonlander. Years later I modelled the defensive aspects of my game in the Murrumbeena twos on Andy's play. Always team first. I was just like a shorter*, fatter, slower, less fit, less skilled(!) version of Andy Goodwin. And now I missed my chance to vote...shattered. Please Supermercado...add one vote to his score * I might actually be just taller
  7. Thanks for the reports to those who could make it...pure gold at this time of year.
  8. I'm going to man-up and let Mum handle this one.
  9. Nuts! Her first ever favourite player...goneski. I'm happy to wait until the end of trade period to see how the club goes overall but speaking as the dad of a shattered 8-year old Demon*, Jeremy, you've just made The List (I left a couple of Homer's originals there...because having Fat Free Lard and Gravity under phat Phil $cully just seemed to work). *Assuming she doesn't try to follow him to the Pies.
  10. An unprovoked incident in Hong Kong apparently. Quality reporting here...http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/isaac-heeneys-jaw-broken-in-unprovoked-attack-in-hong-kong-20151018-gkc4w6.html "The club has issued a statement announcing the "rising star" award winner was attacked while in Hong Kong with teammates on Saturday morning." I assume they meant nominee. I was tempted to follow their lead and title the thread "Rising star" award winner broken jaw", but that'd be too cruel.
  11. Household favourite here. My 5 year old son is also an Angus and naturally has adopted Brayshaw as his fave. We got to meet him briefly at training before the R2 game at Manuka, conversation went along these lines: 5YO: Your name is Angus. Gus Brayshaw: Yep. 5YO: Guess what? My name is Angus. Gus Brayshaw: Good name, isn't it? 5YO: Yep! *conversation over* Name aside...he's a beauty.
  12. I could live with that very comfortably. Unfortunately they're not stitched on. We made the 700km trip to the 'G once this year and got the jumper at the Demon Shop pre-game...it's ironed on (or something).
  13. For very selfish reasons I hope he stays...my 8 year old's favourite player (by a street). She got 38 on her jumper this year and I'm too soft to explain to her why/how he left the club. On the other hand a 7 would look awesome on that jumper.
  14. I too have golfing demons: most of mine involve short downhill putts on fast greens (very delicate pitches with little green to play with is another).
  15. Jeff Farmer? Edit to keep my post on topic: Dwayne's a [censored].
  16. I'd turn for Bern. There, I've said it. * Wife is fully supportive.
  17. Andy Goodwin. #DemonbracketClassic
  18. Typical Carlton mindset. Bunch of [censored].
  19. I'm another fan of Buckley's work on 360. He's really won me over this year. Tuesday night I don't even bother watching anymore...Goddard and Lewis?? No thanks, bring back Bob!
  20. Dragged the family 700km to the game last week. Will be watching it from home this week with a Brisbane mate...a BBQ first and kegged homebrew probably means some shenanigans and depending on the way the game is going me demanding he leave by half-time.
  21. ...be spewing. My Dad's 70th this weekend so wife, kids and I are flying down to treat him to the 'Melbourne Experience' for the day. I fully expect us to lose.
  22. The bad news is it's the other foot. The good news is he now has two bad feet.
