  1. Watch Joe Daniher bring his kicking boots too. That bloke terrifies me, and I'm not just talking about his face.
  2. This would be a good fit, nickname-wise anyway. If we didn't already have AHG, and if they were going to export these into Australia, which they're not. http://www.dodge.com/demon.html
  3. Some high praise indeed. On Cam Smith, I do remember years ago reading that the strength and conditioning man at the Storm at the time (it might have been Rob Jackson) used to call him 'The Accountant' because he thought he just didn't look like an athlete.
  4. That's an excellent likeness.
  5. YEP, MINE'S ALL CAPS TOO. Oh, just had caps lock on...soz!
  6. Fence more of a cloud shouter I reckon...esp if the cloud reminds him of OMac.
  7. Not surprised at all. If either or both were to be genuinely concussed today, and if schadenfreude could somehow be harnessed to generate electricity, then mine would have the potential to power the lights at the 'G for about three weeks.
  8. All grain or kit?
  9. Missed the start by two lengths and still got up...happy days indeed!
  10. Arrived home yesterday morning after a couple of weeks o/s. Was wide awake at 2am this morning which gave me a chance to get up and watch (and delete) the recording of last week's win. Foxtel also had a the 2015 R12 game on at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night...happy days! Could be sound asleep by half time. Ed: Ken's Dream is the favourite at Caulfield (R6). I'm loading up.
  11. I agree, just working my way through this thread well after the fact. Carlton are a bunch of [censored] [censored]. Ed: felt good just typing those swears, despite the filter!
  12. I didn't even see the game and that's still funny. Assume there's no need to chase up a replay?
  13. Where is stakka (Curry and Beer) anyway? On topic: Jack Watts
  14. Mahoney confirmed that key forward would not play again this week and explained why. “We think there has been some predictable, but unfair media speculation about Jack Watts’ non-selection. To clarify, the team is being selected on some key criteria, during the pre-season,” he said. “Jack knows exactly what needs to be worked on and his past two or three weeks, he’s been working hard on what he needs to improve on in certain areas. “He still remains a key player for us this season.” http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-02-23/hibberd-johnstone-to-play-jeffy-injured
  15. No Watts. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-02-23/hibberd-johnstone-to-play-jeffy-injured
  16. Watts trained with the main group on Wednesday and wasn't showing any signs of injury then.
  17. Maybe an accelerometer?
  18. Are the Dees all wired for sound? Looks like they all have tape behind one ear.
  19. Copuchas and Jock Strap have covered it better than I can, so just a few extras from me. - Mitch White hurt an ankle at one stage while with the rehab group. I didn't see the incident but he hobbled around on his own for a while. No assistance from any medical staff though. - The rehabbers did a lot of 'quick hands' drills. One drill had the receiver on his knees with his partner only a few metres away kicking it at him. Just after the trainer said 'let the kicker know if you want it harder' BenKen said "yep, harder" and the very next was a low bullet that got him right in the nuts much to the amusement of Kent, Smith, Hullett, White etc. - One other drill that I don't think has been mentioned was a simple kicking drill with the aim to move it on past a man (dummy) on the mark quickly. Three players in the line, 20-25m apart with a silhouette/mannequin marking the man in the middle. He'd receive a kick from one end, wheel around, and kick it past the mannequin on the mark to the player at the other end. It looked pretty good but it really looked like a man on the mark who actually moved would smother/impact a lot of the kicks. - I only saw the blues vs whites that Copuchas described well for a few minutes but for me it really highlighted the gap between the best and the newbies. Viney in particular was everywhere and just drew the ball, while a few others really pushed low percentage kicks which didn't come off. Dec Keilty did a great smother on Frost right at the start and his team were told in no uncertain terms to give him some praise. - while Kent wasn't required to push himself in the rehab group when they wound up they all had a ping at goal (you can see the 50m arc in the photo) and he nailed his from right on the boundary on the 50. I agree with the comments that he looked close. Certainly no obvious restriction.
  20. Rehabbers have left, and I need to as well, gotta get to the airport. Will write some more later....this phone is a piece of [censored]. Main group has split into two, half ground contested whites vs blues.
  21. Players rotating through a 3 on 1 keepings off drill. First lot were Gawn, viney, Tyson, jkh, bugg. Now watts, brayshaw, Hogan and stretch.
  22. Lads have just arrived. My first session at Goschs. Reporting will be poor, I'm nursing a guns n roses sized hangover...
  23. I'd like to know this as well. Will be in Melbourne early next week and a morning training session on Wednesday would be perfect. Thanks to all those who contributed reports. It's greatly appreciated.
