Round 4 - 2015 the Dockers had a good win over the swans. Round 5 - 2015 the Swans were coming up against the improving Dogs at the SCG and were expected to have them covered. In hard and wet conditions the Dogs played fantastic tough and skilled footy to beat the Swans by 4 points. From a football season perspective it was a season and a half ago. 18 months if you like. Paul Roos has repeatedly said that he believes we are about 18 months behind the Bulldogs from a development stand point. Tomorrows game will give a strong indication of where we are. I think we can win. It will be hard and wet conditions just as it was last year. The Swans team that lost to the dogs was stronger from a personnel perspective. We keep waiting for a statement game. I'm hoping that this will be it.

Wouldn't mind seeing Frost get first crack it Buddy. Strong, Tall and fast, physically a good match up. Smarts/experience the obvious weaknesses. Also frees up TMAc to play more 2nd man up.

Haven't seen it mentioned on here yet so apologies if I'm doubling up, but Kurt Tippett and Gary Rohan are likely to miss against the Dees next week. I still doubt we can win but it doesn't hurt.

I was thinking last night that it would be good if Viney could get back a week early for the Swans game. This week would be even better!!!

For what it's worth I heard a rumour that the club went to Sam a few weeks ago to ask if he felt he was ready for an AFL game, it seems they were looking to bring him in. He told them that he didn't feel ready and wanted to continue his development in the VFL. If true, says a lot about his honesty, you could imagine many players saying they were ready just to get a game.

It probably won't happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hunt get a run up forward. Using his chase and tackle pressure. Move Garlett up to the wing and give Petracca a run at Half Back. Petracca's reading of the play, clean hands and long kick would be a massive weapon off HB I reckon. Garlett's speed through the middle has been used as a real weapon in the past in bursts. From memory, Hunt had a few good games in the forward line for Casey. Kicked a couple of 3's or 4's I think. It would be worth trying as a change up I reckon.

One thing I will say after watching the replay. I reckon there was a lot of sore Hawks players after the game. We may not have won. But we belted them (fairly) almost every time we could. We were very tough, hard and aggressive against the masters of that sort of footy. They were hurting at the end of the game.

I'd love for us to be still in the game at 3/4 time. Been a long time since that's happened against the Hawks.

OMac may not have been injured but IMO he hasn't been ready physically or mentally. This has been discussed at length on other threads. Roos said after the St Kilda game that he (Lumumba) was suffering from concussion and probably shouldn't have played. Tyson's form had been improving before he picked up a virus. Last week was either an incredible drop in form or he was still suffering the affects of the illness. I'd back the latter. Also Roosy has acknowledged a few times now that they should have dropped some of the younger guys because they were sore and/or tired. In effect they weren't 100%.

Vandenberg was on limited minutes in the last VFL game so I doubt he'll come back in. He'd be a better chance if there wasn't a bye.

OMac last week, Tyson this week definitely wasn't 100%. Lumumba played, was horrible, and then was found to be suffering concussion and has since missed 3-4 weeks. I appreciate the sentiment but I don't think it's correct.

May 12 we ticked over 38,000 May 20 we had 38,266 May 27 and we have 38,391 There will be less sign on every week from now on. 100/week for 5 weeks has us just under 39,000. More would be great but I can't see it happening.
