AFL Mid-Season Draft 2024
I haven’t seen him play this year but high draft pick so clearly has talent. We are desperate for midfield depth IMO so I’d be all for it if he is the best available.

NON-MFC: Round 09
What a shame

Issac Cumming
Still, I’d classify him as a running half back, more so than a player like Howe who is a medium who plays tall.

Issac Cumming
He’s only 184cm. I’d love him at the dees for some more run off half back.

Harrison Petty
Isn’t Hayward a free agent?

NON-MFC: Round 07
This is all true. But it helps a lot when they have been almost injury-free.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
Exactly. Way too early to judge a young tall. No one else (below Jefferson) has done much either. Looks like a very weak draft early days.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
Not many good players picked after him.

Luke Davies-Uniacke
I think it has been in the media somewhere that saints are throwing lots of $$ at him

Crunch Time
There were similarities in the action. That is a fact. Saying the are similarities is fine, they weren’t the same though. The differences are the Koz was much closer to Soligo when starting his action (so less reaction time) and the force was not even in the same ballpark.

Judd McVee no stinker
Absolutely love Judd McVee and always happy when the ball is in his hands. Having said that, he needs to learn from the Carlton final and the Rioli goal. If he can’t take the opposition player with him, he can’t go to ground/past the ball in those contests. I’m sure he will learn from it for next time.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
I’d favour Petty down back than the Tomlinson, Tmac, Hore combo. But that is dependent on Fullarton or Ben Brown being able to play quality mins forward. May won’t be out for long IF there is no internal damage (lungs, kidneys etc). Rib fractures alone don’t usually have them out for more than 1-2 weeks. Hopefully not too long for Lever either - as mentioned elsewhere, they would have a good idea by now if there was any possibility of ACL.

Crowd numbers - my perspective
There was also public transport issues, e.g. Sandringham line not running. My parents had a tight turnaround from an activity in the morning and weren’t going to be able to make it in time due to traffic/lack of PT so stayed at home. They had fully intended to go though and I’m sure weren’t the only ones.

Midfield depth
I think they put Jordon onto him

Crows supporters seem to hate him

Compensation for the loss of Angus
That first paragraph is a terrible take. He had gone years without concussion and then was knocked into next year with a huge hit that could have caused brain damage to anyone. Agree that we should be allowed to sign a replacement player. I’m not sure what other compensation we can reasonably expect.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
Not a whole lot that we can read into this result, just that Richmond have better depth than us. The complexion of the game would be completely different with the likely opening round 22s for each team. Individual performances are worth looking into. Very scrappy game overall but I’ll reserve judgement for now.
