Good result

West was awful against Brisbane. Panicked disposals which cost us goals and field position repeatedly. If she can’t handle the pressure of home and away then how is she going to be in finals? Fwiw I think she is probably just down on confidence and she definitely has it in her to be one of our best, as she showed most of last season. It’s a big call to drop her.

AFLW: Rd 10 vs Brisbane

Zanker has also had some excellent games as a mid in previous seasons. But Goldie in there for sure against Adelaide and Brisbane. -

Very very poor showing. Selection baffling with Campbell and Wilson out for Ivey and Watt (why?!), and Gall ultimately staying in the team. We look very one-dimensional without Paxy and really missed Lampard and Gay’s steadiness in the backline. Gall looks to have talent but clearly is not ready for finals-like footy. Brisbane destroyed us with footy smarts. A lot of really dumb decisions, particularly by West who had a stinker. Such a frustrating watch. -
We lost the game in many ways. One of them was goalkicking. One of them was Schache as sub over Grundy.

I doubt he will be bid on so the club will either take him as our last pick (like Woey jnr) or rookie

Garner will be too smart for Goldie. Heath is the one for the job, as mentioned she is strong -
Do they have any key defenders left? An injury to Tex and they could be bottom 4.

Not really, we still hold the cards next year and I’m not convinced that what Adelaide can offer would get us near Reid. I was just thinking tonight that I was going to miss the Freo death ride, maybe we have another one for 2024!

Nope. Plenty can change in a year, and even more can change in two years.

Hopefully North can do us a solid and take them down. They have the quality. -

Outcoached. They have taken our game away from us. Have to run them off their feet this qtr -
Bris will trade Fullerton for a pack of chips

Done a little sleuth on Brisbane bigfooty and they don’t care about losing him. Think he’s a bit soft like Schache, though apparently he is not scared of his own shadow like Schache. Future 4th and see how he goes in a new environment.

Regarding the OP, Joe Daniher nearly got Brisbane over the line. A quality key forward is still hugely valuable.

Set shot kicking wasn’t the issue though. The issue was rushing ‘in play’ shots. We lacked composure.

Nibbler is a certainty for top 10 in the b&f. Should we be looking at Lachie Keefe for short term ruck backup while we look for a long term solution?

What is this about? Sam Edmund and Whateley on trade bell

It’s supposed to be the top 5% of salaries across the league to get band 1. I’d be surprised if 750k is top 5%.

When we were trash and applied for priority picks, pretty sure the AFL considered the compensation we got for Frawley when rejecting the application. I don’t see why this should be any different.
