Best Presser Ever!!
Exactly this. This is been forgotten in the rush to sensationalise. It was clearly not easy to diagnose. Young people compensate well when they have significant injuries/blood loss so it can sometimes be difficult diagnose the severity of the injury immediately (I am a doctor). The level of criticism at the club over the injury has been unfair and disproportionate to the errors. Having said that, they should have immediately been suspecting spleen injury due to the location of the impact and could definitely been more cautious in their management of him. But they were no worse in their management than the hospital docs.

When you knew 2024 was over?
The eagles game was when my grieving for the season started. Kingβs birthday was the final nail.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
If thatβs the case, we simply canβt let him go.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Family reasons (recent baby). Still contracted for two years. Hopefully we can talk him around. Port and Adelaide playing cool for now.

Dan Houston
You do not trade pick 6 for a 27yo half back flanker, unless their name is Corey Enright. Dan Houston isnβt in the same universe. Future first and change or they can get stuffed.

Looks like the kind of player Taylor loves

NON-MFC: Round 22
I think they are very close to clicking. I was impressed with them against us. Put money on them this week for the flag as I expected them to at the very least get narrowly beaten today. They will only get better from here. Sam Taylor and Josh Kelly are still well off their best, Coniglio and Briggs to come back. They have shown they lift in finals. There is a lot going for them in a very open year.

AFLW GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Carlton
Paxy, Tayla Harris, B Mackin (and A Mackin who is gone for the year with the ACL) and Gab Colvin all missed the game. Jess Dal Pos and Kerryn Peterson were the main outs for Carlton.

Heeneyβs last quarter was unbelievable!

AFLW GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Carlton
It seems we lost by two points after a βlate surgeβ.

NON-MFC: Round 21
Very one sided umpiring to Hawks benefit

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Western Bulldogs
Hawthorn and North both looking ripe to rise but they still have major holes in their teams. Hawks have Sicily and Meek, then a bunch of mediocre talls, while Northβs defence is rubbish. They will both win lots of games in the next few years due to the quality of their smalls but itβs not easy to rectify those issues and it will cost them in finals. Much easier to rectify the issues with smalls that we have.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
Agree with most of your points there but wanted to point out that GWS werenβt that depleted. From their best team they were missing Coniglio, Kelly and maybe Cumming. We were missing Petracca, Salem and maybe Kolt, while Gawn was hampered. It was a good effort by the team and we only needed a little bit of luck to get that win.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
Exactly. The sky is falling brigade have no perspective. This is 2019 again. We will be back next year and beyond challenging as long as we play things right this off season. Itβs a big shame how this year has gone because the season is so even. This year will be the weakest premiership team in years (yes, worse than the pies last year). But predictable, after losing Brayshaw and Oliver at 30% capacity.

Dan Houston
Crazy. Heβs too old for 2 firsts
