  1. I’d rather a Harry Boyd type or Ivan Maric is on the outer at Port and is similar quality to Campbell and much younger.
  2. It smells like Carlton are freeing up space for Houston. In which case, we drive a hard bargain and could get him cheap (pick in 40s). I think he’d do well taking the defensive mid role with flexibility to play forward also. I’m all for it - we need more depth in this area.
  3. They are clearing space for Houston I suspect. Kennedy won’t be too expensive.
  4. Hope Kalani watched the final last night with all of the empty seats in the stands. GC would be the same if they would ever make it. Meanwhile, all of our finals at the G in recent years have been massive crowds (including clearly out numbering Geelong and Hawks in 2018).
  5. Both would have beaten Geelong. Cats beat flakey Port and everyone thinks they are champions…? Cats’ midfield is very very weak. Neale, McLuggage, Ashcroft, Dunkley etc vs Dangerfield and … Atkins, Bruhn, Bowes? I know Chris Scott is good, but I just don’t see it.
  6. Nope. This game was the real prelim.
  7. He will be on good money so Dons may want him off their books.
  8. Hawks fans rate him
  9. This is the play. Go hard for Harley Reid when he comes out of contract. Show Reid we can get the deal done. Do not trade Kozzy for anything less, and definitely not this year.
  10. That is a very nice highlights package.
  11. No Petracca, May, Lever, Oliver, Windsor, Sparrow. Who actually thought we’d win this game? Throw it in the bin and let’s go again next year.
  12. As I said in the game day thread, it was an accident. Zero malice and he barely had a moment to react to Moore going to ground. Didn’t brace. Didn’t choose to bump. It looked to me that he was trying to kick the ball. If it’s suspendable, then it’s three weeks. Which would be a joke. His history is irrelevant.
  13. Kozzie vs Moore was an accident. Zero malice and he barely had a moment to react to Moore going to ground. A lesson to footballers that if you go to ground you’re putting yourself at risk.
  14. Umpires absolutely ruining the showdown
  15. Umps trying to win it for Port
  16. Dan Houston will not play a final this year. At least 4 weeks for that, should be 6
  17. Playing in defence
  18. Saints should beat the blues. They are decimated by injury. West Coast should beat them too. It may also be a double benefit as saints might get first round compensation for Battle. I do think we are a chance to win either of our games, though won’t be favourites.
  19. Exactly this. This is been forgotten in the rush to sensationalise. It was clearly not easy to diagnose. Young people compensate well when they have significant injuries/blood loss so it can sometimes be difficult diagnose the severity of the injury immediately (I am a doctor). The level of criticism at the club over the injury has been unfair and disproportionate to the errors. Having said that, they should have immediately been suspecting spleen injury due to the location of the impact and could definitely been more cautious in their management of him. But they were no worse in their management than the hospital docs.
  20. The eagles game was when my grieving for the season started. King’s birthday was the final nail.
  21. If that’s the case, we simply can’t let him go.
  22. Family reasons (recent baby). Still contracted for two years. Hopefully we can talk him around. Port and Adelaide playing cool for now.
  23. You do not trade pick 6 for a 27yo half back flanker, unless their name is Corey Enright. Dan Houston isn’t in the same universe. Future first and change or they can get stuffed.
  24. Looks like the kind of player Taylor loves
