Infuriating watching Rankine hold the ball up then stuff the kick.
-
Agree with this except Hannan instead of Hunt
-
He didn’t chose to trade 6 - that is a list management decision. Goodwin’s influence is all over many of our recent selections eg Sparrow, Jordon - more inside mids when we have a million.
-
Not impressed. I think we will win anyway but potential for heart attack/(more) grey hair.
-
He knows what he is doing. Last year wanted Georgiadis in the twenties (picked at ?18, earlier than predicted) and was very keen on Zac Butters. Both very handy players for this stage of their careers. Our draft picks are also influenced by the coaches and outcome of trades.
-
Hopefully the focus on Cripps this week will help our players as well

Terrible camera work.

Jetta made some mistakes but did a pretty good job on Cameron who can be a match winner

And that score review was a disgrace and could well have cost us the game. That is not what score reviews are supposed to be used for. The umpire was well positioned and had to make the call. Never mind that it wasn’t even close to being fully over. We were extremely unlucky

No shame in losing to Brisbane but gee we were robbed. By the umps. By our goal kicking. By Hannan kicking OOB. We are our own worst enemy.
-
Brisbane are very good but we have missed enough easy shots to be in front, let alone the effect of the putrid umpiring. We need to come out fired up and make the first ten mins count. And Goodwin, fix up the clearances!
-
Apparently not valid at the other end with Fritsch who also got his hands to the ball
-
The quality of ball movement that quarter was awful (haven’t been watching prior). It seemed like wet weather football.

Barrett supports freo I believe. We should look at Alex Witherden who is on the outer at Brisbane.

Brad Crouch should only be worth an end of first round pick. Bog average AFL midfielder -

Joel Smith could be a good matchup for Charlie Cameron. He kept Danger quiet when down forward and quick enough to stay with Cameron on the ground. Lockhart would be the unlucky one to go. T Mac in if fit for Jackson
-
He knows his limitations which is so important. I have been super impressed with him
-
Jetta wasn’t even on screen for Rankine’s first 2 goals. Lockhart was on him for the first. Wasn’t clear for the second, maybe Lever. He was on him for the third obviously, as well as his late missed point. The other late shot was from a poor free kick (from memory). I think the Jetta criticism is a bit overblown. Far from his best game but he wasn’t our worst.
-
Best case scenario is McDonald has a scratch on the cornea only. They heal up quickly so he may be available with some luck. Otherwise, bring Brown in. And Jones for Melksham
-
Melksham, Hunt and Lever have to go. Had enough of Salem too. Plenty of others on notice. Omac and Jetta into the backline. Weid and Bennell into the forward line. Wipe the smiles off the tigs faces this half dees.
-
Lever out, Omac in, Smith to 3rd tall/interceptor
-
I think you’ve missed the mark with a bit of this. Lockhart was aggressive and excellent defensively. A couple of slip ups with ball in hand but he will stay in. Jetta could come in for Hibberd potentially (got caught without a right foot all game). Agree on the short forward line, did not work. Weid or Brown for VDB. Hannan was an excellent addition though. Our tall defenders actually did pretty well in the air defensively, Smith included. He also used the ball well. Hawkins killed us on the lead. If OMac comes in (which I support), it should be for Lever who is not able to play his role.

Can’t play one on one. Can’t chest mark.
