POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
Exactly. The sky is falling brigade have no perspective. This is 2019 again. We will be back next year and beyond challenging as long as we play things right this off season. It’s a big shame how this year has gone because the season is so even. This year will be the weakest premiership team in years (yes, worse than the pies last year). But predictable, after losing Brayshaw and Oliver at 30% capacity.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Brisbane Lions
Smashed in the midfield and in the air. Of the MFC listed, McAdams/Howes ok, Jefferson not involved much but good when he is, Brown smart when involved, not much else to say really. I’d take Henry Smith from the Lions. 21yo 206cm, has talent. Robertson or Lyons could be worth looking at as midfield role players.

Umpiring and Schache are both unwatchable. If he is on our list beyond this year I will burn the place down.

Sounds like he is getting close to a top 10 pick according to the AFL.com.au draft guys

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
Howes is dominating this 3rd quarter. Very steady influence. Unlucky to have that beautiful goal cancelled by a free against McAdam. Laurie our next best. McAdam has played his role well but we can’t afford that ill-discipline at AFL level. Wouldn’t mind seeing him as sub soon. Impressed with Jefferson getting in the right spots and using the ball well. Brown has had some really impressive moments and also some really bad. Hunter and Billing’s have been deplorable and so hard to watch. Almost as bad as the umpiring. We should be way further in front but very wasteful in front of goal.

Trade Targets
Players like Phillips go cheap when out of contract, even though originally a high pick. 3rd rounder probably, or late 2nd. I think it would be worth a go.

NON-MFC: Round 14
Roos were out on their feet from early in that last qtr. As much as I hate Collingwood, I really envy their spirit. That was a very impressive comeback with so many stars out. But geez the umps got them over the line in the end. That non-50 was criminal.

Time for a Change….Don’t wait another 2 years…
Agree on all your points. Especially Tim Lamb. Extending Adams, Laurie etc recently for two years is very questionable. They seem incapable of moving on players who are not showing much.

Let’s not get too excited about that game. Geelong have the worst rucks by far in the league and opposition rucks dominate them every game. Not playing Grundy in the finals was a huge mistake but moving him (and his contract) on was the right thing to do. Gawn is not a forward and neither is Grundy. They were no good together.

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
This was so obviously Maynard’s intention which therefore made it suspendable. He “chose to” make him earn it and it went wrong. This is how he plays every week. The AFL 100% put up a deliberately pathetic argument at the tribunal. It was all a sham to save face but protect Collingwood. Absolutely effed.
