He should certainly be fined. Might get a week

Sparrow can play the defensive forward role melksham is playing as he did in the first few rounds of this year. Sparrow must stay in at Melksham’s expense. Regarding the Sparrow v Rich, he was trying to block rather than bump but it ended up somewhere in between. Should be a fine as the impact was very low. Fine for Zorko too

A quick google says Maynard will be a free agent at the end of 2022. Would Collingwood consider trading him a year early? Ed Richards and Lipinski are also worth a look IMO.
-
Heard some rumours Brayden Maynard might be unhappy at the Pies. I hope we are into him. Would be a great lockdown defender, super competitive and excellent kick. No idea on contract status though.

Not Baker. JJ or ANB for wing (or Jones). Bring in Sparrow
-
Baker is not AFL standard

Don’t rate this win that highly. Clearances 51-24 is outrageous. Won’t be repeated when Richmond have a functioning midfield. Plus the crazy free kick differential for the first half. Brisbane did a lot of bombing. May and Lever can deal with that. Lockdown on Rich - he is their Salem. Breakeven-ish in the midfield and I think we will take them

Petty for Tomlinson Sparrow for Baker (Brayshaw back to wing) Bedford for Fritsch Jones as sub

I tipped the suns. Collingwood are decimated by injuries. Nothing Buckley can do about it.

There were 8, although Dumont only played a half

I didn’t really provide any reasons so I can understand that you couldn’t see them! Brown is A grade when up and running. He has had 2.5 VFL games and played very well, including presenting up the ground. There is no chance of dropping Fritsch, Tmac or Jackson on current form. Fritsch is not a tall though and I think we have room for another. Now that Brown is ready it’s also time to test what could be our best forward setup. Much like Jetta being dropped for Hibberd, whoever makes way for Brown will be unlucky but it will improve the team. Melksham is easily our lightest contributor in recent weeks IMO. Spargo was also weak last week but has been better prior to that. Jones isn’t going to be dropped straight after his 300. Melk played fwd/mid. Only two score involvements (nibbler/Pickett 7, Spargo 1), 2 tackles/13 pressure acts (spargo 3/12, Pickett 5/21, Nibbler 4/26). We aren’t losing much. Nibbler, Pickett plus one of Melk or Spargo will provide the forward half pressure. TMac, Fritsch and Jackson are capable of pushing up towards the wing/high half forward. We can make room whilst maintaining excellent forward pressure.

Ben Brown must come in this week. Melksham is the obvious out but seemingly never gets dropped no matter his performance (and he didn’t have a bad game this time).

Injuries at WCE is why
-
Looks too good for this level but seemingly too slow for AFL
-
Melksham should be very nervous about Bedford’s performance today
-
Bedford sets up Chandler goal
-
Similarly I think Hibberd needs to come in as he may be the Dusty match-up

Can anyone explain to me the “positive lingers” thing?

Those two are good mates. Definitely helping them enjoy their footy
-
Pat Lipinski dropped by the dogs. We must go after him
-
Metres gained is available on the AFL website (select advanced stats). He was 6th with 520m. Definitely above his usual

We were first to the ball

Surprised people saying they thought Bris played better up to 3/4 time. We dominated the midfield all game but struggled to connect with the forward line. Bris defence were very good. Cant finish lower than 4th. Guaranteed home final

Strange that we didn’t bid
