  1. Time for a break then, they'll be back better than ever.
  2. 1. No-one 2. Swans 3. Cats 4. Lions 5. No-one 6. Pies
  3. Might be missing something but he sounds a lot like Bowey and in need of improvement on the defensive side of his game. I'd be looking for more a lockdown type for our backline's future. I'm sure there's plenty more to this though.
  4. People conveniently gloss over the 6 remaining years part. If he gets injured again and again we'd be stuck with it.
  5. Pleading ignorance on this Jack, I didn't watch it. And I usually don't unless I really want to do an autopsy of what went wrong which is rare, it was just too much this time round. Still raw and won't change anything so I took the tape and threw it in the trash.
  6. Really need to get round to making one of these someday..
  7. I feel like our 'dicey' quota was used on Joel Smith and and maybe one more at best being Hibbo. I see the case for Melksham but we seem very keen to hang on to players now.
  8. Find it funny how odds can change for something that hasn't had any contributing factors in 3 weeks! Can only mean the money is coming in!
  9. Except unicorns, not anymore.

And nearly all our teams stunk up the joint! The AFC is where the power is, the collection of up and coming QBs in that conference is scary and will be for years to come.
  11. We're talking about trying to prolong Gawn's career with the acquisition of Grundy, it would be nice if we could find someone to supplement and prolong BBB's career as well.
  12. I hate it when there's an offer that I don't want to make in the first place dependant on something else happening.
  13. It seems bizarre that WC have contacted Luke's management. Surely they have what it takes to make a good offer.
  14. And let's not forget about the other great things life has to offer as well. Like flowers, music or a big can of soda pop!
  15. Yeah that is true, we all remember the Harley Bennell saga with his mother posting on the MFC FB groups.
  16. Good contested mark? Would need a fair bit of body strength to be appealing.
  17. Really good points there. They can pad their stats a bit at that level and there can be a lot of fool's gold. Have to agree on his ability below the knees isn't great and I've only really seen him take set shots in regards to kicking but apart from that his general forward craft isn't too bad.
  18. I have them sliding next year but not because I don’t rate them. I think they have a lot of players who were crucial to their rise up the ladder this year out of contract this year or next year and it’s looking like they won’t be keeping them all. I also think that while we might have some grievances with our game style, the Dockers probably have more glaring issues with theirs. The organised and accountable ‘control the play’ style when the whips were cracking doesn’t seem like it is going to scare a lot of teams in the current climate. I also wouldn’t call them a good team at moving the ball I think their mids are fantastic with their two way running and things they do without the ball but transitioning in possession is something they need to work on. Yes I know people will point to the game we had against them at the G this year, they were down 4 goals at half time and threw caution to the wind with some bold moves and had a set of circumstances in that game going for them that would not occur every week. I like what they’ve done but I can see them needing to step backwards to go forwards.
  19. Apologies, I legitimately meant to say 'wouldn't' surprise me! Haha. I think it would be unlikely for him to depart but I can see them testing the waters with him. I think this trade period could have a lot of valuations going on.
  20. It might make them look silly in the short term but you can PR BS your way out of that crap pretty easily like a politician.
  21. Well said. While I don't like to focus on things outside of our control I certainly wouldn't say it was irrelevant and had zero to do with what happened. There was definitely a compounding effect starting from the cruddy bye situation, then 5 days leading into the Geelong game and you know the rest. Definitely a factor. I'm still not sure how to make this better but less travel in the run home would probably help a little and lessen the compounding effect.
  22. We've all been victim of the cruddy smartphone keyboard! I've seen a bit of him, what stands out to me so far is his mobility, he moves really well for a guy his size. He also seems like an exceptional overhead mark and everyone loves a left footer.
  23. Would surprise me if Naughton got floated.
