Luke Parker Strike in the VFL
6 weeks to Smith. Parker could have busted his elbow on his face.

He does it all. Inside and outside, physical, can kick a goal, 190cm +. I like the way he goes about it, ever since he came in really. I remember a game against us about 5 years ago where he had about 40 touches, racked up around 15 tackles and kicked a couple. I think the Dogs are still reeling from losing him in all honesty and have been band aiding the loss ever since. With the Dogs fresh off a grand final and the Lions trying to get there it did seem like the balance of power shifted when he was traded to the Lions. Big part of their GF run.

What do you put this down to Binman? Not enough skill when we turn it over? Not generating enough turnovers in the first place or in areas where we want them? One thing I'm noticing at the moment is that that 'tackle breaking' midfielder is very much in vogue right now and if you've got a Harley Reid who is able to break away from the contest and retain the ball without turning it over you limit those turnover opportunities.

Tommo simply isn't a third tall I'm afraid, as much as I'd love to say that he could be that floating interceptor he just isn't. While there is a chance for him to come in, his best role would probably be the one that Tom McDonald is currently playing. Turner going down when he did really hurt, this would have been perfect as we could have either swung him or Petty back.- PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Thanks Lexinator, we need to try some new looks in there to keep opposition guessing. I look at what the Dogs have done with Ed Richards and it has given their midfield a new lease of life, even after Liberatore went down he seems to have grown more into the role. I too would like to see ANB at more centre bounces. I know it robs us of the high HFF role that he plays so well but now is the time to pull a few levers and see what we can run through there.- PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda

Looking ominous. If this injury dates back to the tweak against Hawthorn I'll be quite peeved.- POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

111 marks to 60, made them look like the West Coast of old. We find ourselves in a position of coming up against teams who seem to want it more, especially where the midfield battle is concerned. I don't know how you fix that but if they don't have the desire to put in the work then the door is over there. These ones certainly sting the next day in the office. Not wanting to show your face, wish I could work from home!- My 3 word player analysis V West Coast
I must be marking McAdam harshly. I just didn't think he offered much apart from the two nice leads where Kozzie hit him lace out. Needs a few games.- Luke Parker Strike in the VFL
