Always loved Balls. Many of our players walked taller when he was in the side. Does a great job with the ex players group, you need people like that.

Kade is tracking beautifully. No faulting his endeavour and he's taking his chances. The area I want to see him continue to improve in is positioning at contests. Knowing when to get front and square and when to hit the back, I'd love to see him become a small forward that can create half chances for himself and full chances out of half chances. As mentioned above it can be an unrewarding position but if he can be a forward that might only get 6 possessions but a goal or 2 guaranteed, I'd take it.

I'd say no to assistance but after the Brisbane and North scenarios I clearly don't know anything these days. The AFL can do what they want, I don't care.

On the flip side if we win the prize is big: 4 points and two away trips killed in one 😄

What now? Is this where we feel sorry for an ex player who can't cut it or get picked elsewhere? Not attacking the OP as it's a worthwhile question but sometimes we're going to let players go who don't go on and have glittering careers elsewhere. I know a lot of people on here follow ex players very closely and credit to them but I'd personally rather watch how Matt Jefferson is tracking than tune in to Essendon's VFL game to watch Weid.
