Bit belated but as I drove home last night past the Botanic gardens I was wondering what I'd do if I were to randomly see Trac in a public place like that before this announcement. I would have just said "Christian we love you and we'll always be grateful, always". That might be really stupid for a lot of you but that's how it felt, and I'm very far from someone who gets attached to players emotionally.

I think that sums it up pretty damn well Jaded. Very happy with the news, a much needed lift for everyone. However there's work to do at this club and those involved need to get out there and do it and start earning our membership dollars.

I just don't think the lack of support is something to be played down.

He's got a lot going for him and really gets onto those kicks. I just don't buy into a lot of commentators saying he's a ready made AFL player, I don't know what it is because he has the size, maybe we'd just need to see him up against AFL sized bodies.

One thing I've learned about the many different administations we've had is that they're only as good as their last day in charge. No matter how good they seemed in the past, you can lose trust extremely quickly. Incredibly difficult to get back.

No doubt about it. It took years to build this, trials and tribulations, false dawns. Forming a winning culture from a starting point of learning how to walk, it was a very long journey. The ground work was laid and it was finally bearing fruit. In what feels like a matter of seconds it's been busted right down again. I think a lot of MFC fans can be forgiven for thinking they may not have it in them to go through it all again. The candle was finally burning bright and we were proud to be fans. A damn shame it wasn't nearly for long enough..
