Must say I'm a bit surprised by it too. You go from mid last week where people were saying his silent approach was necessary to the silence being deafening and his brand being damaged as a result. I can only think that people think his silence now looks worse after the club have come out and addressed it, did interviews like Pert's and then all rocked up to the GC game minus him.

Yep I totally agree. I almost see it like a first wave of Covid situation when we all had time to think and maybe too much time to think. Many people in my industry ended up moving jobs aroubd that time and I'd say a very large number of us were considering it. His life threatening injury and experience around it could well have put his head in a space it would not normally be in, I'm confident the people in the club see it this way if the media don't.

I dont have a problem with that. Judge a book by its cover, we can only judge on what we see. Tarring someone like Morris with a brush resembling one people would give to a convicted criminal is a bit much in my eyes though. I'm someone who believes in second chances and that people do make mistakes, whether I personally like them or not.

Do I like Morris? Not particularly, but the only people who get so triggered over him because of his 'priors' which have nothing to do with his profession are the people that never believe they've ever made a mistake in their own lives. Why it's so hard to separate these two things I have absolutely no idea, but to these people who whinge all day about the media giving us a hard time I implore you to put your money where your mouth is and get this mad when there is equally harsh reporting on another club, not just ours.

Missed the first quarter and a half but have since seen the replay. I thought we were outstanding yesterday, cane with a plan and intent. We ran hard all day and looked like we wanted it. Very proud of this effort. You have to love when Jack Viney puts in a game like this, best game of the season, he was like Knuckles the echidna. Ed Langdon is finding his elite level once again and I'm so stoked that we've re-signed him. Look at Steele Sidebottom yesterday, these players go deep into their 30s and we need this guy holding our width going into the future. Disco Turner presents very well and gives as a nice foil up forward, but I was particularly impressed with Petty's game, 9 touches 8 marks. Gave us something to kick to. Love the lines Dirk runs and his field kicking will be an asset, a fit and healthy Bowey will be a good addition again next year as well. Winning is great, let's finish strong and knock off the stupid Pies next week.
