Gunners giving Man U a little touch up, 2-0 up with 13min remaining. Interesting race for the title.

I like the logo, regardless of whether its a throwaway logo, corporate logo.

They're staggering growth rates. Fair to say it would be a tradies paradise in that region. Many young families, alot of membership opportunities.

Please make this guy captain next year!
H_T replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
The way I see it, the MFC has 3 options, and I know my most preferred option of the three (identified in bold). 1/ Retain McDonald and Bruce as co-captains for 2009. With a newly named leadership group. 2/ Decide on one captain only for 2009 ie rewarding Bruce on his B&F. Including a newly named leadership group. or 3/ With a new leadership group, they make a strong/bold statement, signifying a fresh new look demon outfit with Brock McLean as appointed Captain on top of their objectives to hit the ground running on and off the field. PS. I can't see Green in the picture as captain IMO. For the same reasons as outlined by deanox, and it would only delay a fresh strong leadership approach. -
Wow..where did you find that stat Nugget? With respect to the players clapping after a win, don't they acknowledge the whole ground? Not just the mcc?

Yes, I agree Titan. Now that he is part of a Premiership team, he would feel somewhat content with his contribution and his career. It would of been enticing to go another year with their current list, but I think he has made a wise decision. Out on an absolute high. It doesn't get much better than that. "That's what I'm talkin' about!"

How did the MFC get such a dream draw in 2005?

Courtesy of an impressive resurgence in 2004 after a terrible 2003 season. -
Nice Roost it. As long as the beer is $2.50 a can and there is cooked onion as an optional extra with the BBQ snags it will be a success! Care to elaborate? I hope your hungry. Cheers Scorp. It must also be remembered the dates and times are subject to change with or without notice.

Jade Rawlings? I'd rather this coming PSD.

Indeed. 3 weeks to go. (Can't wait).

No Mitch Banner in your top 70 dee-luded? Interesting. I would of thought he would go top 50, at worst top 60.

Unconcious on the banks of the Yarra, no thanks.

From what I've seen of Chris Yarran, whilst I thought others stood out more, he has shown glimpses of great talent. A bit of X-factor about him. Of what I have seen, he has reminded me of Adam Goodes - like attributes. IMO would be very handy player to have on a list, regardless of it being, or not being Melbourne's list.
-
Good point if he is. Are the Bombers giving Hislop a second chance?

Congratulations to Krezja on his bowling performance. 43.5 overs on debut is one helluva "throw him in the deep end and see if he will swim" job for your country. Isn't it amazing RR, that in years to come when all look to the record books for most wickets on debut, they see some astonishing bowling with 8 wickets to their name, then they will look at Krezja's figures and see 215 runs next to it. "What the?! " PS> Massie's figures are remarkable. Tendulkar may play another 3 years, he's looking to give away the one-dayers to prolong his career. - Fox Sports commentary. We have a saying at our cricket club, "If you occupy the crease, the runs will come." Albeit eventually. Much like "If you build it, they will come" - Field Of Dreams.

Krejza 3/195 off 38 overs so far, with 1 maiden over. Gulp. 5/404 and all of the sudden it is looking very ominous.

What will we tell the kids.. -
Bugger. No early dismissals at 5/367 and Dhoni is amongst the runs. India is definitely in a stronger position now. Dhoni 37 Not Out, Ganguly 49 Not Out. We need a collapse of wickets; need a miracle really on that deck.

Kept under wraps from us....those South Australians really are sneaky, aren't they. Good work by Emma Quayle to weed him out. No Blease in her list, hope he gets to pick 17 then.

Here is your answer Goose: - Smart move Freak. Cousins is damaged goods. So Goose, why would Melbourne waste their time picking him up for 1-2 years? For attendances? For another win or two? Either reason it would be short lived and a waste of money not to mention extra resources. I'd prefer a young 20 year old or even pick 67 at the ND and pass on PSD#1.

barpen, you can pull your pants up now.

When he was 5yo he allegedly spent 5mins in the naughty corner.

AJ was a great servant for the club, a very good player for Melbourne. One wonders if you ever saw him grace the turf. You have a point Schtaker. Disconcerning that he didn't opt for the contract put in front of him to stay at a proud club who his father played for. Regardless of the contents of that 2 year contract. So what if there was a clause. The fact is CJ has opted to leave Melbourne. Despite what was put in front of him. That is disappointing. If "we" (mfc) have manufactured his departure in some way, leaving his dignity intact - that would be very cunning by the mfc. They would of had to be very careful IMO. I would of thought Carlton would of outbid us with an unconditional 2 year contract. CJ may have been more comfortable in his decision with Mark Riley and Ratten at Carlton too. Who he knows well.

Interesting. Thanks Demon Head. Interesting that German's style and Baileys style differs. They will be working close together, so I hope they will be able to pull in the same direction and be able to communicate to the fringe players what is required at VFL and senior level in terms of "style of play" required.
