  1. What about D'land rego too? Correct. Seems 3 year contracts are now frowned upon due to this case.. .
  2. I'll be there! Where is the passion you lot? Fair dinkum some of you doomsdayers need a wake up call. Support your club. Who else would you want to play? Brisbane up at Carrara? West Coast in Perth? Adelaide at AAMI? I'll take the reigning Hawks at Lonny with our side hitting the deck running any day. Book your flight early, look out for great deals with Tiger and Jetstar..make a weekend of it. Go Demons!
  3. Absolutely right. Putting a stop to turnovers through poor execution and playing an attractive brand would at least start the turnstiles ticking over a bit more.
  4. Yes, I agree with this. More so Junior than Robbo for me. But I agree nevertheless.
  5. Well you did say, "from a distance, the players looked very fit." I was wondering how far away you were (ie. distance), did you have binoculars with you?
  6. Not exactly what the skipper needs from a spinner. Krejza should be bowling.
  7. The 'joker' in the pack perhaps who won't be a part of the game for the MFC. Will be left to the side, but comes at a cost or hopefully a reduced cost at least.
  8. Yes, I believe its for the better for the Spurs. I feel they can take it to the big boys. If they can get 6 out of 9 possible points. You'd certainly take that.
  9. You know, I would be very surprised if Gilchrist called Tendulkar to say that his comments were taken out of context. Seems to me the Indians love watering down issues or try to deflect issues any way they can. Congrats to Gilchrists comments about the Indians, particularly Tendulkar, last summer. PS. RR good post. I don't think your comments will upset the Indian community. Ie. ...."Making the rest of the world walk on rice paper from their whims." That is fine. Had you used "papadums" - now that would of been crossing the line.

    Caro Wilson

Not so fast my dear Watson. Newman has signed on again for a reportedly $3 million...hardly a Mr Has Been.
  11. Good news. Did you have the binoculars on? Good call.
  12. Good point. Although I would of said the Commodore 64...
  13. Is that a backward triple somersault, 2 twists, finishing with the pike position with 3.4 degree difficulty off the springboard "BACKFLIP", or what Schtaker?
  14. 20-1 has been on weekly of late. Robbo was on....again. Robbo looks as though he's now a regular celebrity commentator on the 20-1 countdown series.
  15. Yes, and he's currently based at the Gold Coast at present, maintaining his strength and fitness. Which just adds to it sounding odd. He should give Vossy a call. I wish him all the best.
  16. I know. It was a more "no comment, it's not funny" response. Seriously though, the MFC will leave no stone unturned. IMO he has Hird-esk like qualities. I just hope when the AFL announce, "Pick 1 - Melbourne...", the response is Watts' number.... . I think they will.
  17. Well that's good to know... . Fingers crossed whoever it is, they can make a significant contribution.
  18. No sympathy for dear ol' Kirsty. Abusing should not be tolerated. Even after getting in the Cab with a foreign driver in Flinders Street and asking to take me to the MCG after a few, and the driver replying..."What - Where is this M.C.G,.. you say?" (Whilst the MCG lights are on and in full view of the cab driver)
  19. I agree Sid Vicious, Y_M is right IMO. You also bring up a good point regarding Carlton when they were -not so long ago - pathetic. It just goes to show that the AFL want record crowds each year, and to them Melbourne will not be a big contributor to this for 2009. We already knew that. In order to turn things around, Melbourne need to improve on the field and chalk up wins, but more importantly drag people through the turnstiles. These are the two major areas that will secure a better fixture. Until then, grin and bear it! Protesting is a waste of time. The AFL know what we wanted. Hence the reduction from 15 to 13 Sunday games. Not much, but its something. To get bargaining power we need attendances and better football. Winners are grinners and losers can please themselves. Its all about the dollar and thats the bottom line!
  20. I don't think picketting AFL HQ is the answer. It won't have an effect. The fight back has to be on field and show of support at games. Let the cash registers tick over with improved game attendances.
  21. Very good editorial, Demonland Crew. Well done. Everyone signup, let's smash through the 30,000 target, before the season commences!
  22. I'd imagine there may be a few at the Blues who feel that way. They were just after the best possible deal for M.M.
  23. Yes, they're window must be closing, they're clutching at straws.. The user can pay for the cab too. That and along with a reduced payout for Carroll would be a reasonable outcome for the Dees.
  24. 5 years, with additional 5 year option I heard on SEN.
