  1. I have a solution in that game against West Coast. We get some of our interchange to muck up and have 19 players or 20 players on the ground when the ball is in West Coasts forward line. If we can do that 7 or 8 times during the game giving them 8 goals. They should take the 4 points surely! (I hate talking like this....but I want to see MFC fortunes turn around asap). can't blame me wanting the best for the footy club.

    Our Ruckmen

Yes, but maybe White might have something to offer Sydney if Everitt retires? We could get something for him. We must get rid of White or Jamar but not both at the same time. Getting rid of White will enable the Demons to have more coin anyway. He is not going to be there for the next premiership put it that way.
  3. And Maric.

    Our Ruckmen

White may go up for trade with another Melbourne player to extract other early picks for the draft. PJ up forward, Jamar and Meesen to play next year , with perhaps the exciting addition of Natanui. 2010 will be an exciting year.

    Our Ruckmen

I am happy with PJ aka High Tower! My name sake.... Time to trade Jamar or White (if he still has value) I think (I could be wrong - no doubt some people will shoot me down). Tell you what PJ has got a lot of pace for his size too. Is mobile.
  6. Ruckmen? White, Jamar, Johnson and Meesen. White probably has two seasons left in him. Dees should trade him to someone who needs a top up. Maybe to Bulldogs for next year? Swans? (i reckon Everitt has had it). I understand for key position but we only have pick 1. The others will go before 17. We need to get rid of someone worthy of a pick 7 - 16. So we keep picks 1 and 17 and use 18 as a bargaining chip with a player to get soething from 7 to 16. We haven't exactly got the best midfielders going around. We need blokes that can get the ball down and with pace and skillful execution. Brock is the only bloke that can do this, but he's not the fastest bloke over 10m.
  7. Look, If J.Brown was 22 or 23, the heirarchy might condsider it. The fact he's nearly 27, he would be a huge risk. I think we have seen the best of him. It would be at a huge cost. Better to keep Picks 1 and 17,18. Keep developing. Bailey wants the list from 18-24 yold. List management: OUT: Neitz (retired), Holland, Weetra. UP FOR TRADE (target another early draft pick): Bruce, Jamar, Petterd, Yze or White and pick 18. Sure, maybe trade a Bruce (29) in order to receive perhaps a first round draft pick at best 14 or 15. You won't get better than that. The Bulldogs, Swans or even Saints might top up. AIM: to have pick 1, anywhere from pick 8-13 and picks 17, 33 heading into the draft.
  8. What about Rich from W.A.? He is spruiked as being No.1 over in WA, even over Natanui.
  9. Agree with having a real crack at Tigers in Round 22. It would be great to beat them and have them fininsh 9th.....again! They will eat their own. Agree with Bombers. How many wins do they have now? 4? They are not tanking thats for sure now. A couple of weeks ago I was concerned about them. But they are pretty much off the radar now. They are a proud club who want to win. My concern now is West Coast! Can you believe that! who would of thought the Eagles were the concern for the wooden spoon! The Eagles and Dockers still have to play one another too. They must be the biggest disappointments of this season, both regarded before the season as finalists for this season. To have both won just 2 games from 13 with their home ground advantage is a disgrace.
  10. One things for sure Bate can be very dangerous when ball goes to ground after his contest. When he gets the ball around 55 metres out and with space....lookout! I am pleased with MFC picking him in the draft. Huge upside yet to come.
  11. I doubt very much whether Bradshaw will play. Why would they risk him before the week off? Expect our old no.1 draft pick to return, in Johnstone. Warnock will go to Brown. Dunn might get the job on Black, maybe even Brennan. If I was Bailey, and I wanted to win I would put J.McDonald on Power. If I didn't want to win though......I would keep J.McDonald - two times best and fairest - all australian - in the back pocket like Bailey has done recently. Maybe swap him occassionally with Bartram. You have to go with Bate at CHF, take Miller at Full Forward if Newton is still not ready. Play PJ (High Tower) in the pocket and swap him with White in the ruck. Where's Meesen? Lets take a look at him. Jamar out for this week. Bode can stay in. Morton another week at Sandy to brush up on his skills. His execution against Richmond cost Dees the game.
  12. You are right regarding losing concentration when marking, too inconsistent he either looks strong on the lead and marks, or presents then takes it easy at times when marking and drops or gets spoilt alot from opponent. Bate is not the bash and crash type CHF or strong mark overhead. More the lead up type CHF, much like Travis Cloke's mould. But he is still young with only 40 games under his belt. When he gets to 60-80 games, then look for improvement. He is probably the player I am looking forward to developing the most out of the list. He' is a superb tackler when on song, great technique. Colin Sylvia should watch this kid tackle and learn something instead of giving away push in the back free kicks when tackling...
  13. Well we have Michael Newton, he has to be given a chance. There is your target up forward. Injection of pace: Through the draft.
  14. Well Meesen is only 21. I'd wait until we've seen him under Bailey at least until the end of next year. He is a work in progress. Just 2 games with the Crows. I saw him in Round 1 of NAB Cup down at skilled, moves well, still green though. Alot of upside. Craig cameron missed him in the draft when the Crows beat him to it. Apparently he was spewing on the Crows. C.Cameron rates him highly. Pursued him a the trade table last year and got him. Unfortunately you can be the fastest big bloke over 100Kg and break record times but if you can't find the ball, you can't cut it in this game. Will be interesting to see what happens if the Dees pick up Natanui. We'll have White, Jamar, Johnson, Meesen and Natanui. Somethings got to give....
