He also handles billiard balls well too. B) I agree with your thoughts on Cousins. Davis I'm not sure on. ALthough a change in club and coach might help. However, I only see it as a short term goal by Voss. I think these two additions - if BL secure them - are proof as to where BL see themselves in the hunt. ie. Not far off top 4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they 9 and 6 at some stage this season. They failed in making the finals. Brown and Bradshaw kicked nearly 150 between them. That would be dissapointing for Lethal.

Too much CSI, Agatha Christie, Matlock and Columbo viewings..

I agree. The only good thing to come out of Bubbledome for the AFL would be training for the International Rules game before playing Ireland with the round ball.
-
Distance Demon would rather you say, "Bring on OUR MCG!"
-
Don't you mean the space at Bubbledome?

or so the councillor thinks....

Browns body certainly won't hold up until then. Davis is 28 - he would have some work to do, to impress Voss. A new club and Voss watching over him might just kick start him again. A good third option with Brown & Bradshaw up forward would be mouth watering for Voss. If they get Cousins, all of the sudden - Black, Cousins, Johnstone, Power, Rischetelli, Adcock, etc the midfield looks very handy.

At the start of 2008, I predicted Brisbane to reach the final 8 by the end of the season. It seems they lost their way when our Demons beat them mid year. Michael Voss and Brisbane are looking at getting Ben Cousins, as the Saints have declared they will not try to out do the Lions (who have picks before the Saints), and Nick Davis' manager has talked positively about fruitful talks in Brisbane - about picking up Davis in the Pre Season draft. From the outside it looks as though Vossy has no qualms in dealing with this troublesome duo. BEN TO BRISBANE?? LIONS LOOK UPON CUZ & DAVIS IMO Voss must be confident in doing great things with his team next year. Although these two are rough diamonds, they can play. Your thoughts?

Nugget, what is the DDD idea? Is that Debt Demolition? edit: that is your "Demon Dollar a Day" idea isn't it? Got it.

I remember him jaded. Did he scrub up ok make the cut?

Good call Shaft. Incorrect Freak. Skills do develop. And its not just kicking skills, but a range of skills...and they do improve even in some cases if its just a little improvement. Gary Ablett's skills have improved since he started, so too Steve Johnson, Cameron Ling, James Bartel, Russell Robertson, even Chris Judd and Adam Cooney. There are many, many more. Your right however in your last sentence, you do need to recruit players that can create a high possession game plan. Which is why the likes of Morton, Grimes, McLean have been recruited. We need more. Fwiw you need those who can cut it in the middle. The likes of Jones, Dunn, Bate - the jury is out for me, whilst I think their skills can improve a little more, I don't think they are capable of the superior high possession game plan we all desire. I hope they prove me wrong. It is about picking the correct option, quite right. Whilst the gameplan in your opinion if solely based on a possession game that can become predictable, can get torn apart. But if the coaches implement a few strings-to the-bow in altering the gameplan as an option -midstream- to prevent opposition sides from zoning off, in some cases it can be prevented and work in your favour by confusing the opposition for a short period. Once recognised, the side can revert back to possession. In many ways its like a game of chess for the coaches to gain an advantage.

Yes. I recall Rogue. Haven't yet been able to find the correct link including those exact sentiments though.

Pleased with these appointments, impressive credentials. On with the job!

I think you're on the right track Nugget. Interestingly, the MCG development thats been in the news recently would certainly [censored] a few ears up among the councillors at Casey. But I'm sure it can be all worked out. At least I hope its worked out anyway.

Understand Roost It. But why spend $350, when you a guaranteed a seat at the G anyway. Proposing entry into away games the mfc is playing is incentive though to take this option.

Spot on. RIP Tiger, condolences to family & friends. True Legend.

Fwiw, From hearing Ricky Nixon's interview on SEN a few weeks ago, I thought he was referring to of recent times (ie this season), rather than a few years back. That is how I interpreted it.

Cheers alpha, look forward to it.

So would I RR, just speculating on how I perceive the captains and who I think would of allegedly said that based on how long they've been at the club and how they love the club, if the speculation regarding what was said is in fact true... .
-
Captains who I believe would of allegedly said that to the player in question at a team meeting. Matthew Lloyd - YES James McDonald/Cameron Bruce - NO Sam Mitchell - MAYBE Chris Judd - NO Nick Riewoldt - NO Tom Harley - NO Adam Simpson - NO Brad Johnson - NO Simon Goodwin - NO Warren Tredrea - NO Darren Glass - NO Matthew Pavlich - NO Brett Kirk - NO Jonathon Brown - NO Kane Johnson - NO Scott Burns - YES Have I narrowed it down to the right club(s)???

I bet you love putting the club down Tingles. We'll attract players later on, when we start winning. When we do, I bet you're on the band wagon then. edit: ALan Obst training with Nth Melb. Any relation to Andrew Obst?

I Like it. I'll have to mention that one to my uncles who are Collingwood Filth.. HERE'S SOME MORE

Watts may have played basketball well, yet from the vision I've seen of him playing football, to me he possesses natural footballer - like qualities, he looks pretty good to me.
-
No doubt. The draftee in question will have all his support there, his manager. The Demons will have the jumper ready, anything for marketing purposes for the media to chew on. I reckon Jimmy might make an appearance too.

So who do you want as Captain then? Any guarantee the next Captain won't try and fix they're slow over rate? Is it really that drastic that you will not go to another test whilst Ponting is Captain? The Aussies were an outside chance at best in winning the fourth test. Granted it was a poor decision on choosing Hussey to bowl. White was not a poor choice, he is in the side to bowl.
