  2. nice to see this thread has reverted to its prior high standard of perversity for a while i thought all was lost viva la revival
  3. sorry earl, who does he coach, haven't head of him
  4. was looking good till right at the end
  5. yes but it helps to know what you are or might be taking in order to ask the question - LOL
  6. understand maurie. i had a small umbilical hernia repaired laparascopically. no complications but i couldn't have returned to strenuous exercise involving the stomach for four weeks let alone what would be expected of an afl player anyway, i don't find 4+ weeks surprising after a stomach operation (lap or not)
  7. ok, then 4 weeks to recover from stomach surgery is not unusual
  8. did jimmy have an op to remove appendix or are they just treating it with antibiotics?
  9. at this time of the year and given our state of the list and no finals prospects, coaches tend to look at list management issues more-so than maybe picking the best 22. by list management here i mean genuine list management and not tanking-type list management in all likelihood there will be big list changes so last-chance games will be offered and younger players rested i think team selections here on in will increasingly reflect this, except maybe for the two obvious winnable games expect to see some debatable selections
  10. not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but we really don't need some fancy analysis technique to know we don't have a good enough list or enough "AFL calibre" players. this (another) list just re-enforces what we all (well mostly) already know. it's just repackaged "common opinion" far better to stick with other threads 1) identifying who/how many to cut and 2) our needs priorities list-wise for trading/drafting just saying
  11. if gablett snr was coach who would force him to turn up to training?
  12. i don't think a coach has ever existed who was 100% correct 100% of the time ergo: your argument only has limited value and is not absolute. this forum is an opinion based forum and nobody is infallible
  13. not sure why you emphasise "little" jack. unless you consider a $180+ Million shareholding as "little" - LOL
  14. i checked with the octopus at melbourne aquarium. frawley definitely gorn.
  15. would it be a poor win if it was a grand final?
  16. think the afl commission quite like it too od
  17. the afl salary management system may have as many flaws as democracy has as a political system but likewise coming up with a better system is the problem - alas
  18. not really, though some would claim that is an oxymoron
  19. oh, gotcha. 18's a bit generous od, lol
  20. or a cow with mastitis eh jazza?
  21. with 17 teams and 22 actual rounds you would need each team to take TWO byes per season most rounds having 1 team on a bye and a smaller number of rounds having 3 teams on a bye (totalling 34 byes in all)
  22. think he's "networking" biffo. nothing like checking out the real pros
  23. Jack Watts announces his retirement from football to start a career in the priesthood "i've come to a crossroad in my life where i have chosen to mend peoples' souls rather than breaking their bones" he said when asked for comment paul roos was lost for words
  24. he looks a lot like stuie - at least how i imagine
