  1. I said grammar not spelling. Do you even know the difference?
  2. Potential my ass. He is incapable of playing 100 minutes of football for more than a handful of games per season. That is his potential. What you see is what you get. He has the body for football not the mind. He doesn't and never had the potential to be anything more than he is because of this. Quite a few on this forum need to realise this.
  3. Brad's a good player and will let his actions do the talking. Could well be his last year.
  4. Trengove, Grimes, Viney are the makings of a great midfield. We need another dose of serious class to take us to a Premiership threat.
  5. What our midfield really needs is Scully..........ooops, he's gone hasn't he!
  6. Followed by Moloney blazing away and the defense clearing it easily for another opposition goal. The fact that he''s our best performed midfielder is one of the reasons we finish so close to the bottom.
  7. For the club to take serious strides over the next 2 to 3 years Morton is a player that we really need to fulfil his potential. Talking about cheap kicks is laughable in the AFL. People who didn't know better said the same of Joel Bowden. Losing your man, making correct position and receiving the ball can either be called a cheap kick or clever play. I'd call it clever play but that's me. Yes Morton needs to exert more influence over contests and yes he needs to improve his disposal but at 196cm and 85Kg I'd say his development is on track. Remember he's suffered injuries in each of the last 2 preseasons which hasn't helped him. I'd be very surprised if 1. He's not in our best 22 going forward and 2. Many on this site aren't eating their words come the end of the season.
  8. Jamie's young and relatively inexperienced. He as yet doesn't have the engine to keep up his bursts of pace for an entire game. What he does have is raw talent and pace. Personally I think he's 2 or 3 years away from really hitting his straps. When he does though it should be exciting.

Of course there is, they need to be found and soon I loved Garry as a player but he is an egomaniac media performer. If he wants to be part of the club then sign up or back away. This is not a part time business and the move showed our weakness at the top, hence my point re the president.
  10. I didn't go to training but I can say that everyone is training really well. LJ is still in rehab but getting closer, Grimes is in rehab to manage loads as he can't handle loads. Jones is really looking good, Howe has great hands and Sellar is a big boy. Everyone really loves having JT as Captain and he trains super well. Cut and paste for any trainig session!
  11. At least check your grammar befor laughing at your own inane joke..fool

I propose we get ourselves a better president. This club needs a leader who leads through his actions and who can continue to push this club forward. I don't think Mclardy is the man. Why wasn't Leoncelli replaced, why was an ill Stynes allowed to oversee the FD and why was an egomaniac media personality allowed to step in and step out as he pleased? Mclardy was in a large part responsible for all these mistakes, not to mention talking to the players prior to Geelong. I take my hat off to him for his role in helping the club and I'm happy for him to stay in some role as the past few years have been tough. However i don't want him leading the club, Do you?

Whoever had a role in the weekend at Geelong should not be leading the club. Green is gone from leadership position. Connolly is gone, Schwab is hanging in there, Mclardy should not be the President for several reasons

The club needs a new President. Mclardy may love the club and have done his best over the last few years but he's clearly not the man for the job. Stynes should never have been allowed to become football director, Mclardy should never have spoken to the players and Gary Lyon shouldn't have been needed to help turn this club around. It all smacks of an amateur organisation. What this club now has is a well funded football department, a great group of young players, great facilities but it is weak at the top. We can't afford to be weak at the top for long or it will all turn the way it usually does at this club. Another question. How much time is Greg Healy giving to the club and is he fully committed? On what has transpired in the past we can't seriously be going into a new season with a part time football director. The link between board and FD is incredibly important as past disasters have clearly shown.
  15. Green was an epic fail as captain, why on earth would you keep him in the leadership group?
  16. Although several of you believe Cale is a dud one only has to watch his first 2 years at the club to realize the talent is there. He is tall, has a great tank and can play forward or back. Having him in the midfield was a mistake of the past coaching team. His physical size is irrelevant, it's his desire to get the ball that must get bigger not his biceps. He needs to be coached to play to his strengths, running, marking and kicking must become top notch for Cale to fulfill his promise. As for expectations being too high, bull dust, he was pick 4 and needs to deliver. I'm backing him to make it simply because he is now surrounded by a top notch coaching team with the facilities to match.
  17. I think you've found your answer right there
