He's ok offensively but doesn't work hard enough defensively and 25 disposals & 0 tackles says it all. I just hope we haven't picked up another down hill skier

I'm a member of both the Dees and Suns and yesterday was a new low for all of us but i'll be a Dee forever. What pizzes me off the most is that the players just couldn't be bothered,38 friggin tackles,they don't want to play with any desire and desperation.Yes,Neeld has made mistakes but the attitude of the playing group is the no. 1 problem at our club,don't give me this "they're not playing for the coach rubbish" because whoever is coach,you play 100%,that is what you're employed to do and our players don't do it.Half our team yesterday are VFL standard at best.I saw the Dees v Suns game at Southport 2 months ago and the Suns played 100% effort and the Dees didn't give a stuff,it was our last hitout before round 1 against Port and I said to a mate,Port will pump us by 10 Goals,they pumped us by 13 goals. Ablett,Selwood,Swan,Cothchin,Mitchell,Hodge don't need a coach to get them up,they are 100% self motivated before the first bounce,so I don't buy the "coach get get them up" rubbish,elite sports people get themselves up,no one else needs to motivate them. Trengove,Grimes,Jamar,Clark,Watts,Toumpas,Hogan,maybe Blease & Tmac,Pick 2 & priority pick? (even Magner would be best 22 right now) will all be best 22 in 2014 that didn't play yesterday,so there is light at the end... We had games where played like this under Daniher,Bailey,now Neeld and it will happen under the next coach,i guarantee it,different Demons teams but same culture.

The Suns were 18th for Contested Poss. last year and this year they're 4th and they have a better midfield and they average more tackles than us this year. It adds up.

I hope all the players you guys have singled out for greatness today turn up against the Lions and the Blues in the next 2 weeks,if they don't,nothing has changed! Every other team calls GWS the "BYE",we call it a "WIN". We were expected to win by 8 goals,2 goals a quarter and we didn't.

Pass on Mark Williams,Kevin Sheedy,Leigh Matthews and Rodney Eade. The only two coaches that would work with this team is Bomber Thompson and Paul Roos and the former would be my pick. Only problem with Bomber is he earns more as an assistant at Essendon than Neeld does at Melbourne. He's the perfect age at 47,a dual premiership coach and no nonsense,he'd soon sort out our Peahearts. We'd have to pay $1M/year plus his assistants and then pay Neeld out and we'd be stuffed financially again. Scarlett,Ling and Mooney would be the 3 line coaches. Hmmm,it's nice to dream!

Don't stop at Wines. Our midfield should be Nicnat,Dangerfield,Viney & Wines for the next 15 years. But our hack recruiters think Morton will be better than Dangerfield.

When we lose to GWS,Neeld sacked Monday morning! Neeld has the gall to say "we're rebuilding the rebuild" but in fact under Bailey we were much better offensively and defensively. Under Bailey we averaged 90.1 for and 89.6 against Under Neeld we average 71.8 for and 106.4 against This year we average 57.6 points for and 164.6 points against. Neeld has taken us backwards by at least 3 years. West Coast come to the G expecting it to just happen and after half time,they made it happen winning the second half by 84 points,why? because Neeld has no defensive gameplan,we lost half a game by 84 points not a full game,half a game! Had West Coast been switched on from the first bounce,we would've lost by 150+ Oh well,i can wait one more week,GWS will beat us and so will Lions at the Gabba Excluding the new teams,Neeld has 1 win from 25 games. My call is Jack Watts will play and Sellar is out. Stop trying to make Watts a loose man and make him play hip to hip on one the Eagles talls,he has to be accountable for an opponent. Great to see Nev back in.

Neeld's coached 24 games so far and he's on his 3rd gameplan already.Remember the first few games last year where we hugged the boundary line coming out of the back pocket and by the time we played West Coast in round 4 or 5,Niknat would stand 5 metres in from the boundary line all day and he took mark after mark.Then he changed it up using more of the corridor and we got cut up on the rebound because of our poor foot skills.Now it the zone defence where we are standing 5-6 metres off our opponent and we get carved up by teams with pinpoint kicking and we are so far away from our opponents,we can't even lay tackles and pressure the ball carrier. Sorry,but there has never been a coach that has done so much damage in 24 games of coaching,sent us back 3 years and don't get me started on the recuiting of VFL hacks.I shudder to think if Neeld coaches us for another 2 years.
