Nothing I saw today convinced me not to take Sheed,30 disposals and 4 goals last week.He has a ready made body and an elite kick on both sides and runs all day. Today,Dunstan,Aish and Kelly didn't do much but I like the look of Battersby,he looks ready to go and has elite disposal with 84% eff. for the champs. So it's Sheed for me but this time last year I said we have to get this Ollie Wines kid,so what do I know?

We played well defensively at times because the Dogs don't have a decent forward set up and Liam Jones was subbed out. Watch what happens against the Swans next week when we play the same style.

Playing this style of football opens you up to heavy scoring against by the top teams as we saw in 2011 under Bails and while the Dogs only managed one quarter,the top teams will do this for 3-4 quarters against us as we saw in 2011. Too many times last night I saw too many demons run forward of the contest before the contest was won and when the Dogs won the contest,we had far too many players out of position,thus we were very easy to score against. That's why the top 4 teams are the top 4 defensive teams and that's what wins finals. We still have a very long way to go defensively.

This will be an interesting draft as both GWS and us don't need Boyd so he may slide to the Bulldogs. I'd love to take Matt Scharenberg in case Chip leaves next year,a ready made perfect replacement and is a better kick that Chip. I hope we get Sheed,he's ready made and much bigger bodied than Kelly and Aish and his kicking is elite on both sides and goes in hard,head first.

SA won 58-55 My picks over both games are D.Sheed,M,Scharenberg,J.Kelly,J.Aish,J.Billings,L.Dunstan GWS would be mad not to take Scharenberg as they don't need Key Forwards or mids and they are crying out for a Gun Key Defender. I'd be happy to take Dom Sheed as he was the best player of the 2 games and goes as hard as JV.
