Howe's got an opportunistic manager who's taken big bets on Howe's next contract, potentially at Howe's expense, and definitely at the club's expense. I reckon Howe's marked his ticket with the club as a result.
-
Redden and Bennell this trade period would be great. And a decent back up ruck/forward. With Prestia to follow next year. We'd then have an extremely strong list.
-
We should offer him a flag. And $850k a year for 5 years.
-
We'd have no chance of landing Josh Kelly. Future superstar - GWS think he has a Brownlow in him.
-
Absolutely.
-
I really, really hope you're right rjay. Would be extremely disappointed to lose McCartney.
-
If we managed to land Hartlett and Prestia/O'Meara, we actually then have a very competitive midfield. Add Petracca (and Trengove) to the mix, with another pre-season under Roos/Goodwin. In the circumstances, I would be disappointed with anything less than finals next year.
-
Simply must get this deal done if we're a chance.
-
Posts crossed. Was thinking exactly the same thing.

He's an Adelaide boy, right? If so, the Crows would possibly be better placed to land him than us. Perhaps we need to have him chat to Bernie?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Ron Burgundy replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
As Roos says, don't believe everything you read in the press - there's a lot of noise. I reckon Goodwin and McCartney have a fair idea of what this bloke's worth - and, clearly, they also know what they want in players going forward and they know how to assess a good footballer from a bad one. -

If it's for a second round pick, I'm content with this trade. He'll improve our list, slightly. Still praying for a Prestia, O'Meara or Bennell though. -
I reckon Matt Jones is okay.

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Absolutely agree. Hope we keep Watts. And Garland. -
Richmond seems to be in the hunt for everyone.
-
I regard this as absolutely bad news.

Nor would I. I reckon Petracca will be a superstar. -
2015 Player Review - # 10 Angus Brayshaw

Perhaps the club should have Gus mentor the likes of Howe going forward. -
I genuinely hope Watts is a Demon in 2016.

'Sun' of a gun. O'Meara would be fantastic. I've also heard that Howe's manager's been an opportunistic [censored] in his negotiations with the club. Perhaps Howe's only just starting to work this out. -
The rumour I've heard about Buddy which, when it comes out (and I suspect it will), will probably blow up his engagement to JC (if she has a brain) and will really trouble the Swans and their addiction to having a decent club culture.

Straight swap - Howe for Toby Greene
Ron Burgundy replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Possibly. Think he's flat lined a fair bit in recent years after initially showing some really impressive traits/signs. Hope our sights are set on other mids to be honest. -

I can't stand Greene. -

Hope/trust we have more elite midfield targets than Melksham. That said, would happily have him at the Dees for the right deal. -
Want to see him re-sign.
