Toumpas' problems are two fold: 1. Stringer and Wines were taken after him and both are absolute weapons; and 2. He seems to panic/fumble too much. That said, I suspect he's got the potential to be a very good player - he just hasn't quite developed quite as fast as those around him yet. I back the likes of Roos, McCartney and Goodwin to get this stuff right.

Roos wants more class, not less. And that's why he likes Watts. And, I expect, Tom Lynch. So, nope.

Get him.

Comparing Roos and Neeld is like comparing the moon to a tea pot.

I rate Paul Roos. Similarly, I don't rate the bland negativity of many Demons supporters. Never have. They're just boring.

Watts was the number one pick of virtually every club in the draft that year. Ironically, not West Coast who would've taken Nik Nat at number one. Gubby Allan told me that. To my face. Not to some sister's best friend's cousin's pet guinea pig.

I love Jack Watts. Very happy he's at the club. And I reckon Roos (and the entire player group) is too. Few changers on the weekend - but I always feel the most relaxed when the ball is in his hands.

You'd have to think Essendon would be out of the running.

The current emblem tries to achieve too much.Good emblems have a known narrative behind them, eg, the Yankees, Carlton, Apple etc. Less is more. Don't need to cram it all in one emblem. Such an approach lacks class. And confidence. Just keep it simple. And stylish, which this does. Edit - iPad typo

I hate the Cameron Schwab styled logo. Always have. I really like the traditional MFC style logo. Hope the club adopts it. And don't get some Demon style logo - looks tres ordinaire. The Demon is our mascot - not our logo.

I find Buckley super impressive on 360. Really enjoy listening to him.

I also found Roos' recent comments about Howe being a required player given that it is well known that, up until very recently at least, Howe's manager and the club have been in an absolute deadlock in relation to a new contract. Suspect there's more to that one too.

Think I'll back Goodwin's judgement on this one. He's always struck me as a very good player.

My favourite player. Possibly of all time. That we got him for pick 23 is an absolute joke. And, for the first time in living memory, the laughs are not on us.

Some of the same supporters were calling for Roos' head following last week's loss to the Saints. A lot of opinions just blowin' in the breeze here.

Have heard the club is currently in negotiations with Gawn and Garland, both of whom are required players. Apparently Howe, or Howe's manager, is being pretty difficult and there's not much dialogue between the club and Howe as a result.

Have always rated Watts incredibly highly. He's a massive asset to this club, on and off the field.

This is the sort of smart trade that I'd expect of Paul Roos. Thanks for the heads up rjay.
