  1. The ground suits Sydney style of play more than WC, but they have been woeful. getting old and too many injuries.
  2. No, they are just learning that you need 100% concentration and focus to sustain success.
  3. Tried to win by waiting to the last. Controlled it for most of the quarter but could not buy a goal. Some really poor decisions, while I don't blame hunt for the loss, gee. kick it earlier. Too many fumbles and lack of intense pressure around the ball for most of the game... Fortunately there is always next week, but we need a solid fwd target. Looks like BBB is the only option. Time to find out.
  4. Salem, at last!
  5. Wow the waltzed it out of defence through the centre, very lazy
  6. No pressure.... easy marks from their defenders.
  7. GWS running better to position around packs at the moment
  8. didn't matter last week when they had the same opportunity
  9. I agree, as it takes a whole club/playing list to win a GF, not just the 22 on the field.
  10. Been bloody woeful so far in defence, players standing by themselves... Good goal by Gawn.
  11. Who'll go first, Teague or Ratten? Will be the news for the next week or so.
  12. It is evident of one of two things. Teague has not set a defensive structure in place and working to ensure that standard is being met or there is one and the players haven't bought, meaning they aren't playing to their ability. It is a mental/cultural problem if there is a decent game plan and the players are not following it.
  13. Hopefully we keep playing like "Demons" ala the beast!
  14. Not sure who signed mine, actually threw it out the other day as part of a the yearly purge. Could have been Neeld.
  15. Given the nature of AFLW at the moment and the last start for many, I can see players playing well beyond what happens in the male comp. Its not as wearing on the body as the impacts are not as hard (At the moment) and its a much shorter season. I guess most is time off work and getting through the expectations of a club including the preseason.
  16. Been discussing the same thing from WA with a long-distance membership (Though with 6 of us having a membership that gives me slightly better odds). Should I buy a GF package now instead of relying on getting a GF by lottery I assume if we make it?
  17. Salem above anyone, we missed him a lot today, hurt our transition forward, shows how important he is for us. Jetta, is only up to a lockdown role, not suitable for what the team needs. Melks started well, I assume he got a kick up the backside after being dropped, but then drop off and was almost unsighted on tv at least for the rest of the game. Weid is a hard one, today our mid's did not find the space(workmate) for good delivery over the game. The concern is the quick movement that we had to work against is the dog's game. However plays next week this is a reminder to the expectation needed to stay in the team.
  18. Pretty much sums it up. Crows played really well and they are not the crap team of the first few weeks. But gee that non-deliberate in the last 40sec was a howler but he umpires after the one from spargo, hopefully its raised by the club for "clarification" for future games.
  19. Depends if we have the ball or are the tackler :) crackdown on throws and just dropping it.
  20. Top 8 as present, end of last round.
  21. Its getting hard and that is great for the team. I'd give Chandler another week, as he didn't adjust to the pace compared to others, but when was his last AFL game? Weid, what I saw on TV I liked, but its a limited view of his game. He' coming from being the key fwd in the VFL to fit into a different system, that would take time, they need to play togethor more. The wet didn't help, but his 2nd efforts were good.
  22. Despite all the hoo-har, it only means we are playing consistent footy. That is the significant part. A more interesting stat from the first crack last night was the win's ladder vs top 8 teams. We sit on top of that with the best percentage, for example Port have only beaton 1 top 8 team, etc. More of an indication of where we really sit. I expect our fwd line with the recent changes to take another game or two to settle, but its varied enough to keep opposition teams off balance throughout a game.
  23. Good consistent team effort, chasing down players without giving up. The fwd line needs more work for the two new players to get into the system. They were getting in each others ways today, more talk. Would have liked to reach 100 points.
  24. Com'n get to 100
  25. Kossie almost...
