  1. Let see how we go into the breeze
  2. We need to score from these entries
  3. The umpiring still below par, our girl was jumped on with knees square in the back and nothing.
  4. Thanks I had a listen. Not a fun its different enough especially the intro before the singing to annoy me. Surelly the clubs would have had to sign off it. But given some reactions I say nothing of the sort. They had footage on the Perth news of the WC coach looking confused when the new version was plated today.
  5. Where can you hear them?
  6. Just heard this the news. Why would they change the bloody songs. What has out club put out. I saw Eddie was not happy.
  7. Its in a preseason practice game. It is still 6 goals against his name but the intensity of the normal season is missing as clubs focus on their own structures. If he can maintain that form all year, it'll be the jack we expected but didn't get often enough.
  8. I'll go again, "Darkhorse". though hopefully far better than last year as it was a shocker.
  9. I just remember years back the mummy boy Anthony Rocca, he turned out okay as a footy player. He's home in Melbourne so hopefully those issues are behind him. He was good for my dream team for the 2 games he played last year, he has talent.
  10. All business need luck or "fluke" to in the right place at the right time, and this does happen to many people, but the success comes from the hard work to build that opportunity into wealth.
  11. Nice success story for one of our ex-players. Joel McDonald. http://www.news.com.au/sport/sports-life/footy-star-turns-booze-business-into-200m-giant/news-story/ee601d48ad4a4708b70af3b2412c86ce
  12. shocking umpire at crucial moments int he game always went against us.
  13. IS not the number of free kicks, its where they are either paid or missed. Missed in front of our goal or given in front of the oppositions goals. those have the greatest impact on a game. For example the one against jetta today, not much in it but gave a shot on goal at an important time. Either way we have no control over it.
  14. the word here int he west is that we are leading the race for Lever.. We'll see it it turns out to be true.
  15. is he, i don't listen live, but i grab all his podcasts,
  16. Most likely a direct question from a reporter as he put 2 and 2 together and thought he had an angle to write an article.
  17. Great news..we'll see what happens.
  18. "You wouldn't have had to. As Don Scott famously showed . It was a Melbourne jumper with a yellow hawk on the front. Make no mistake , we weren't merging. We were taking over." Some interesting discussion, including the above. To be honest I voted fro the merger, simply because we would have become the Melbourne hawks...given we have changed our nickname a few times in the past, it wasn't a deal breaker. We were still ging to be the Melbourne footy club, as at the time we were the stronger party by far. The club was looking tot he future and were in a good position at the time, it was before the TV rights bonanza, which met the growing salary cap. And I think the AFL should pay for this will all the clubs, who manage how they spend it etc, but then the clubs raise money themselves for the training and support facilities. As for the future, we are in the best position financially for as long as I can remember and I believe we will continue to grow. As for infighting since Norm Smith, there was infighting in Norm's time, just you had a very successful period that held the club together and a very strong individual.
  19. Its a bloody hard thing to narrow down to 5 Who I have seen in my time: 1. Robbie Flower - none better 2. Garry Lyon - could win a game by himself ion willlpower 3. Sean Wight - lved his desperation 4. David Schwartz - pre knee injuries the best but loved him afterward 5. Stephen Tingay - flying wingman whose career was cruelly ended when we needed him most, imagine a fully fit Tingay in 2000. Lots of honorable mentions do I wont bother as it would be a pretty big list, as the above were great to watch over most of their career while others had a great purple patch over a few years, normally at the end, such as Anthony Ingernson who found his niche near the end.
  20. Just over $2m now obviously a very good night
