  1. Isn't pick 43 in the third round not the fourth?
  2. This is my favourite post of yours. You have hit the nail right on the head. Everybody wanted a new Coach. We have one. He is making changes like we all wanted. There is no right and wrong answer on trading TJ as he may play well for a year or two. The simple fact is that an assessment must be made on the value of a player to a club both in talent and application as well as lifespan in the game compared to cost. That assessment has been made and the decision was to trade TJ. Lets live with it and not second guess every decision made by those paid to do it. If Bailey is unsuccessful he will move on. Personally TJ has failed in my eyes to deliver what was expected but nevertheless he turns 28 soon and pick 14 may land us the Full Back we need for the next 10-12 years. I know what I would rather have. PS. TJ was due for a new contract next year and if we didn't agree he could go in the PSD for nothing, another factor that had to be assessed.
  3. Pardon my poor grammar. I have edited the post so you can see it is a traditional wedding.
  4. How did we get pick 28? Agree though I would have a go at Murphy and Moran. The pick we get for CJ could be used to get Moran and Murphy for our pick 21 or what we get for Miller if he goes.
  5. Mrs. Redleg and I are thrilled to announce the wedding of our daughter Melissa ( fanatical Dees member ) who is also Scoop Junior's sister, this weekend. We hope she has a great day. PS. Trade week has been a good distraction to the wedding pressure.
  6. Well I am not sure if he has much improvement in him. I know he was injured this year and he doesn't get much game time, but when he was on the ground he didn't touch the ball and the opposition scored heavily. I think he is about 24 and has had 6 seasons with us, so how long do you wait. I always thought Jolly was better and we were happy to trade him. Obviously if we only get Meesen he will stay and I will say good luck Mark have a good year, this is the year under a new coach to prove yourself.
  7. Last line of an article on trading in the Herald Sun today suggests Dees are looking at Scott. His brother has been excellent with Pies and he sounded very impressive in a radio interview the other day. We will see.
  8. Why would I spew? I think CJ is worth more but if it is a swap of CJ for Meesen well it seems to be worth a try. Meesen would appear to have more upside.
  9. I note on another thread we are interested in Moran but so are the Crows, could be a problem. If we got Moran and Meesen we could still look to move Jamar to Saints, Tigers, Pies or even Crows. He is a SA boy.
  10. Incorrect. She would get my vote in a number of polls but not one for leader of the MFC.
  11. Jamar could still be traded if he agreed to the deal. Saints, Pies, Tigers for starters all need ruckmen, maybe even the Crows. Jamar for Meesen or we take him for nothing in PSD if we got Wood as swap for TJ..
  12. Then you would agree with me adding Wood in case Meesen doesn't make it. I would take Wood instead of pick 14 and Rhys Shaw any day.
  13. If anyone has any influence at the club could they please use it to get a straight swap of Wood for Travis? We can set our club up with Wood and Meesen for years to come and our drafting will then be easier. I don't want Rhys Shaw and I would be stunned if the club really includes him in the Travis deal. Someone, please make it happen!
  14. How annoying is the waiting?
  15. Thanks for that garbage I thought it was a real story. I hope the mods remove this quickly.
  16. Why? You need ruckmen and Wood and Meesen could carry our load for some years to come. See my previous post.
  17. I would do that deal ASAP. We could then trade Jamar off to a club chasing a ruckman like Pies, Saints, Tigers etc and pick up another pick. When Meesen is cleared we would have White, two youngsters who will improve and PJ as backup. We could then concentrate on best pick at 4 and then some Key Position players with later picks. Miller may go giving us another pick. Grabbing Wood for TJ would force other clubs without rucks to deal for Jamar.
  18. I wasn't suggesting he is worth two first rounders but rather that he is more than a second rounder as posted.
  19. Think I have to agree. I would be more inclined to go TJ and Miller for Pick 11 and a third rounder to use on Meesen.
  20. Who do you replace Carroll with at Full Back? I note he was nearly AA last year.
  21. Johnathon Hay was swapped for two first round picks and you would swap Travis for one second round pick. Not me.
