NON-MFC: Round 07
Agree with you, except that the umpiring was clearly one way, to the extent that the commentary team were laughing about it. Soft goals to Port and soft frees to stop any Saints' charge. I think the frees were 13-1 in 2nd half, before an out of bounds deliberate free was given to Saints, in the last 30 seconds. But despite that, if the Saints were any good, they should have run Port off their feet in the last quarter and they failed badly.

PREGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
IMO he is a forward, who while not a ruckman, can play there for short bursts. However, when played as a ruckman, he is quite good around the ground with his marking. I watched him closely against the VFL Tigers and several times he didn't even bother contesting when rucking. He appeared to shy away from body contact. His contested marking though was very good and he is mobile.

10-1 second half and another charity goal.

Yes the Adelaide teams always get a bad run from the umpires. Ask any Port fan and they will tell you that every one of the 8 frees Saints have got was an incorrect decision.

I love the pace of the Giants and that is why I wanted Henry.

Kingsley has got them firing. That was a smashing of a side who smashed us the week before without Toby, Taylor and Coniglio. They have pace to burn and are playing great team football.

Agree, but he will still get a fine.

Harrison Petty
That looks the way to go, swap with T Mac. He is either still injured, horribly out of form, or simply not a natural key forward, despite some good efforts there. Petty has played his best footy down back and Tom certainly has forward craft.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
We have our next Jackson and he plays in number 28. He will be a permanent in senior side next year. Same height as LJ, a better mark and just probably developing a little later than LJ. Good below his knees too, a good kick for goal and imo a better ruckman than LJ. Not sure how long he is contracted for, but I would be extending it, as Crows will end up wanting him more than Petty.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
I thought Hunter had no influence at all. Our ball handling and disposal was garbage. The Captain probably turned it over 10 times himself. So many dropped marks and handballs. BBB’s last two games in the AFL and VFL have been simply horrible. Unless he can turn that around, I fear he may be very close to retirement. A couple of positives, while I don’t see Fullerton as a ruck, his game today was his best for Casey, he was very good. We need to develop his forward craft and then along with Verall we will have some depth up forward. Verall while not really extra tall, can ruck and has some serious talent. He actually is doing the things LJ did and with further development could be a beauty. Sestan also is improving.

Will probably stay. I would chase LDU, who would definitely want to leave the Roos and wouldn’t cost us, as he is a FA.

You must mean Kynan as Ben has had 2 miserable possessions. I think he may have even been off that quarter.

If he can stay fit he will add to our side.

Fullarton is actually playing well around the ground.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
From what I have seen of him he is no back up ruckman. Verall is going to be a beauty as a forward/back up ruckman. Sestan really improving.

3 ruck contests in a row Fullarton has not jumped or contested.
