Sorry, I don't regard ruckmen as key position players, just as I don't view mids as key position players. I view FF, CHF, CHB and RB as the key position players. Anyway that is how I think of them.

    Agreeing.

    Yes and Mihocek says hi.

Faris-White is not a key position player and either is Sestan for a start. We know we have injuries and maybe a retirement in there as well, so no problems.
  6. We lost to them by 7 points, with Gus ko’d 2 minutes into the QF, effectively losing say 30 possies from an experienced versatile player and replaced by a totally non effective player, so down a fresh player at the end and having 32 more inside F50’s. Poor goal kicking and without Petty, Melk and BBB, all of whom if fit would have been better than their replacements. Also with Gus out Tracc wasn’t able to go forward. They had Daicos out. 32 more inside F50’s is usually a 12-15 goal win. I wouldn’t say Binman and Binman PA were totally wrong, as with any luck at all, we win that QF and play off in the GF against one of Lions or Pies and possibly win it. Pies imo are well coached, but have had enormous luck this year and we had a lot of bad luck. Look at all the non Giants frees last week and Pies win by a Point. We haven’t won an arc decision in my recent memory.
  7. Clearly we hoped BBB and Tom Mac would be ok until the end of their contracts next year and that Schache would somehow improve from his disclosed AFL form.

Coaches them for close finishes every training session as I posted a few days ago. They wouldn’t have lost the semi against Carlton like we did.

Hill by a fair way so far. Have to stop young Daicos or else.

And them. Someone needs to fix up Nick Daicos. He is setting them up constantly.

Poor disposal by Raynor when all he had to do was find a short pass.

Neale 3 McCluggage 1 Charlie 0 lot of room for improvement from Lions. Heat will be a factor if close at 3/4 time. Would think Lions might run it out better then.
  13. We can have that by making him an assistant coach, developing youngsters at Casey and maybe even playing for them, if he is able towards the end of the season.
  14. Yes, let’s hope he can make it.

Craig McRae just said you can’t just bomb it into the F50, but what would he know.
  16. If we get McAdam as expected, then that should be it for Melk, as we still have Spargo, ANB and Chandler with Woey, Howes and Laurie to come and possibly AMW and Sestan, if they can take the leap. It would be silly keeping Melk at his age, with his ACL keeping him out for most, if not all of next season.
  17. Anyway, back to Noah Yze, how is he tracking? Does he look like he could improve to get to AFL, or at least VFL standard, to get drafted perhaps as a rookie?
  18. And Buddy has left Swans and his number is available to JJ.

Sorry, I didn't mean it to read bad news for us, but rather, not much news for us. Hope I haven't caused any stress.
  20. I said sometimes.

This thread should hot up from monday, but it may not be great news for us.
  22. You could be right, but hopefully having 2-3 years at most of his AFL career left, might get the finger pulled out.

Tony Sheahan predicted the Swans and pick 11 weeks before anyone else. Obviously some spice added to Grundy deal needed to get 11. I hope he is right.
  24. Let's face it, if it happened in round 2 he would have got 3-4. They came up with the smothering angle and then said the hit was accidental, as he wasn't bumping and then poorly prosecuted the case. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. We all know how this works with the AFL favourites. Cripps last year another pathetic example and like Gus, Ah Chee, Cripp's victim, missed the finals. Newman last year got off with a punch to the throat, because they said the charge sheet had the wrong hand named as the striking one, even though they said those technicalities are irrelevant. I think back to Barry Hall the Swans Captain, punching a Saint pretty hard in the guts, 150 meters off the ball, in a PF. Tribunal then found that a Swans player was about to grab the ball 150 meters away and he would would have kicked it forward and then that Hall was in the play and it was deemed not off the ball. Hall was cleared and was one of the best in the Swan's flag. AFL happy. Integrity is a swear word at the AFL.
