  1. Why are we giving such a high pick, can't we get Walsh thrown in?
  2. McAdam and Fullarton say hi. But seriously, we now don’t need to take not best 23 players and on that basis, maybe haven’t really gone hard for anyone.
  3. That very well could be the case.
  4. TBH it’s not anything other than the the thoughts of a few of us, that it could make sense to both clubs and is a possible deal, not a probable one.
  5. Actually GWS don't need to get rid of him, as they have said, but imo would be very happy to.
  6. He is more than free, if he gets us 7 for a GWS salary dump. If we got him, I could see us floating Tomlinson to North, who have lost McKay.
  7. Might have 7 soon, who knows.
  8. What if it is the player described by many experienced recruiters, as the most talented young player they have ever seen? Then another draftee and then f/s Brown and McAdam and Fullarton.
  9. Hello Nick Haynes, do you like the G and red and blue? If you do, bring pick 7 down with you.
  10. I like the suggestion from a poster that we parade Max in a moon boot in a photo. Then come out and say if other clubs want to discuss Brody we will listen. Cats have 7, need a ruckman and spoke to Brody. We could have a go at that with a pick swap. Still think both sides know what the deal is and this could be posturing for the fans.
  11. To get both sounds like a great result, though unlikely. We could then go outside mids later this draft and next year.
  12. Btw, Nudge did say on 22/9/23 we were out of the race for 4, a couple of weeks before it came true and Dogs got it. So well done Nudge.
  13. I did say often, not always. I seem to recall most were disappointed on DL when the LJ trade went through, with the result. We are lucky that Freo bombed this year, as it could have been 15 not 6, for example. I think there has been an acknowledgment on DL generally, that we are just happy to get deals done, trying to have both sides happy, win/win. I am not knocking this, but simply stating the fact. We know how the Bells and Dodoros operate on the other hand, but they also seem to get their deals done too. I understand that a slightly better pick might not guarantee a better end result I was just making the point on the difference in method.
  14. Anyone familiar with the Weis bar? They are now half the size.
  15. I like that idea.
  16. Yes we did, but that doesn't mean you get back what you paid. Swans are desperate for Grundy as their number 1 ruckman, we got him as number 2. Anyway, let's see how good we can be at holding out. However, tbh, whilst we have been good at drafting, we often seem to over pay overs on our buys and get unders on our sales.
  17. Maybe its just posturing for their fans. This has been on the cards for weeks. Do we believe that just today they made an offer and it's 46? Still holding out for 11, for Grundy and spices.
  18. I don’t think JJ, Hibbo and Dunstan were sharing $450k. Grundy $650k and Harmes $500k. So saving greater at this stage I would think.
  19. Would you swap Tom’s for same salary and give Hawkins one more year, in which he could fade out possibly in second year to assistant coaching and mentoring our young key forwards? Like him or not he would be great teaching JVR, Jefferson, Fullerton and even Petty. Won’t happen as he won’t leave Cats.
  20. Harmes to Dogs for F3rd, done deal. Best of luck James for rest of AFL career.
  21. Gone. F3rd. Best of luck James for rest of AFL career.
  22. When were we offered pick 2 for Tomlinson?
  23. I could force myself in the spirit of research.
  24. Not really, it's just a lot more pastry and very little meat, or whatever is inside.
  25. More of a fruit juice man are you?
