Clearly something was going on behind the scenes, for Goody to prefer Schache. Last year we knew LJ was going, but we still played him.
  2. Other than Barry Hall and May out of season, all those blokes he hit weren’t really tough guys.

    Will need plenty.

Reduced to thinking about trades and Draft picks now.

I wonder who the back up Ruck is going to be, with Flynn possibly heading to the Eagles. LRFE has suggested Ned Moyle. I suggested Goldstein for a year, who could mentor our Casey rucks and play a few games, but he seems to be looking elsewhere. Bryan re signed with Bombers. I can't think of anyone else.
  6. Cripps nose was bleeding the whole last quarter and no blood rule. Max was booted off by an overzealous umpire, for a spot of blood on his lip at Geelong, in the last few minutes of a game and with no ruckman, the Cats scored from the stoppage and won the game. 7 Carlton frees to 1 for us in the last quarter of a tight semi final, yeah officials have no influence on games.
  7. Ok, so not having Gus affected the SF. We lost by 2 points. Gus in JJ out, would we have won? JJ had 2 possessions in the 2nd half. To me it’s an obvious opinion to hold by someone and Ralphy is blowing it up as though the club is using it as the sole excuse for our performance. I am sure that is not the case. Maybe a contributing factor, but not the sole reason we lost both games.
  8. Is there one Dees supporter that wouldn’t be ecstatic, if the same happened to Maynard 3 minutes into the PF? It has affected all Dees fans, not just an Official.
  9. It could be as simple as a Board member saying he thought the Gus incident greatly affected the Pies game. Then the click bait starts. Of course it affected the game. We lost a versatile 30 possession player, 3 minutes into the game, which stopped Petracca going forward and the replacement had 6 possessions and no impact at all. We lost by 7 points. Of course it affected the game.

Well I liked him and thought with luck he could make it. Never played anywhere but hbf and is a good kick, nice mark and hard at the contest. It is disappointing news to me.
  11. I am disappointed. Hope it's not another Toby Bedford scenario.

Logan McDonald and McLean are no chance. Amartey might be a chance.
  13. Jed is a fair way off and Kye has hardly played and is a long way further off.
  14. But we don't know the private conversations. If he wants a longer contract and we have refused, this could be the ploy to get one for him.
  15. Don't be surprised, that if he gets a better than one year offer elsewhere, we trade him.
  16. Of course they did. Guy stumbling struggling to stand up and no doctor, trainer, physio. Nothing to see here.
  17. From the mistake on Tracc's goal against the Blues, which cost us 2nd position and possibly a flag tilt, I believe there have been 7 Arc decisions involving Carlton and guess what, every single one of them went Carlton's way. Luck, coincidence, or interference in a game? PS. Re the ANB goal, which was called a goal by the Goal Umpire and not called touched by any field Umpire, it was a reversal of a goal, touched apparently, which again would have won us the game and which I can't recall seeing similar before. Adopting my MFCSS hat I could say every new ruling always seems to go against us, Moloney weeks for non contact, Trengove 4 weeks for a sling tackle, where victim best on ground next week, Kozzie 2 weeks for a high bump with no injury and victim laughing, Sparrow sling where victim's head didn't contact the ground, etc, etc, etc. I am sure you can all come up with countless more examples.
  18. Just saw his stats are below average everywhere, except goal kicking accuracy. That must be why he is available. Still he is light and with more muscle that could all change.
  19. And save at least $1.2M if not more next year and Grundy's $650k going forward. Then with 5, 11 and with 13 and later picks to trade with, we could get 3 picks inside top 11 and really add some talent. This is a real once in a blue moon chance, to get multiple high end players.

A Giants v Lions GF will renew my interest in the match.

Probably won't have one, both parties know the situation.

Yes and I am not enjoying it. We really have thrown away a great chance at another flag, with a problem we have had for weeks and weeks, poor goal kicking accuracy. Additionally, a failure to go defensive in the last 2-3 minutes and flood the backline, is a blight on our coaching and leadership. We were in a PF with 1 minute to go, what a complete lack of understanding of the situation, we showed.
  23. We could really use a key forward and pacy pressure small forward, like Jesse and Toby.
  24. Tom Greene and Steve Coniglio.
  25. RIP RDB Demon and AFL Legend. Sincerest condolences to family and friends. With EJ the two Mr. Footballs. Probably the biggest name in AFL ever. Very sad day.
