The 3 mus”cat”eers JUH, Smith and Stengle.

Could he bring his Coach with him?

The media has gone mental on Tracc showing emotion after the Cats game, imagine what they would do to us if we got JUH after the Smith, Tracc and Oliver sagas.

That is not really fair, to call the Coach a liar over Lever's injury.. Goody could have been told he was hopefully right to go. Lever could have still had discomfort and it was decided he couldn't push through it, or it would be a problem continually, or he needed surgery to fully get rid of the issue, or a number of other scenarios.

As I said to mates before the season, if we have good luck with injuries, we should have a good year. Yep.

So what happened to Toby Greene tunneling Owies, flipping him over and landing on his head? As dangerous an act as you could see and enormous potential to cause injury. Not a word anywhere and no penalty.

If we were 0-12 I think plenty would be gone. I like every Dees fan, is hoping we start a winning sequence this saturday.

Goody won’t be sacked during the season, it ain’t happening. He might not see out his last year, which will be a “mutual” decision of course.
  9. Agree. It wasn’t a matter of quantity over quality as another poster said, it was foregoing using picks on recycled nqr players from other clubs and instead taking more players in drafts who had the chance to develop and become good players. The cattle as you could call them. Targeting specific needs players here and there is fine, but not at the detriment of losing fast skilful youth. Obviously you can’t fill a team with top 20 picks, but that is where cunning list management comes in. What picks were Max, Tom Mac, Rivers, McVee, etc. Obviously later picks have a statistically lower success rate and that is where you have to be smart in what you do. I banged on here on DL relentlessly to get Treacy and/or Meek ( who weren’t regular Freo players at that stage ) added to the LJ deal. Maybe it wasn’t possible but i would love to know if we tried. Many of us wanted to keep JJ and Bedford instead of others. JT and TL have been good generally, but they have room for improvement as well. Just as a side note, Langford was on the handball on the Sunday Footy Show and on his wrong hand missed the entire target twice and scored 14 in 6 handballs. He looked totally embarrassed. He will be a good player, but absolutely no skill on the wrong side. Sound like anyone else on our list with a father at another club?
  10. IF they went, Kozzie and Tracc are still high value, as to a flag contender they could make the difference. Clarry with his high contract, poor disposal and baggage, is probably now in low demand. Our FD or a new Coach might have some hard decisions to make.

This one is far worse, as Greene looked at Owies before tunnelling him and then Owies is completely upended, landing on his head. This was extremely dangerous. Greene could have pulled out. Now the old boys are saying “what could Toby have done”? Pulled out for a start. This is the difference in the media. Fritta canned and people looking for a suspension and with Toby, trying to get him off.

He was suspended on the injury result and if it wasn’t concussion, might have got off.

You answered your own post, concussion.
  14. Just had a quick look at a few players. Humphries Geelong pick 63 Sam De Koning 19 Tom De Koning 30 Zach Merrett 26. Couple of Irish boys at cats. 15. Maybe they want to keep him as a mate for Wade Derksen in the Giants VFL team.
  16. I have already posted that, so agree with you.

DL is certainly a happy place these days.
  18. I stand to be corrected, but isn't Tim lamb in charge of the List, in respect of TPP and player contracts? I understand It is JT and his Recruiting people, who are in charge of recruiting, being the selection of both draftees and traded in players. Put simply, it is Lamb's job to keep players we want to keep and balance the books and it is Taylor's job to select players we go after.

If you passed him off for adoption the way we dispose, he would be passed into the wrong house.
  20. No, not enough room on DL.
  21. Played in ruck when TC went off. TBH he couldn’t do worse than our fumbling forwards atm and the ball wouldn’t be kicked to him either. He did ok. Kicked a goal and he is an ok kick. Not setting the world on fire but he might just need a breakout game.
  22. Campbell did his hammy for Casey.

    Think it was last year.
  24. I thought he was poor and looked disinterested. Poor disposal and his opponents dominated in clearances. Aside from a 10 minute period I thought Woey was ordinary and Billings is a complete turnover merchant. I think all three will leave at season end. I thought AJ tried hard and Jed Adams is improving.

Apparently the metal detectors worked and the operator wasn’t paying attention. Human error.
