Today’s new rule. Wait for player to leave the ground and get replacement on while game the is stopped.

No and he has so far stopped any Taylor influence on the game..

Toby Greene is the one to stop. Been involved in nearly every Giants goal.

He had two goal assists that quarter.

So no yellow in the signature?
  6. Redleg replied to olisik's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Does he use red and blue pens to sign?

Lachie Jones would probably prefer not to join the Port huddle at quarter time.

Five AFL debuts. One debut for us from another club.

But it's not good seeing the "Cotton Ons" doing well.

Yes saw that. Dempsey just dropped it and play on then Stengle throws it and play on and then 3rd or 4th free kick goal to Cats. This is as bad umpiring as you will see.

Mrs Redleg after that disgraceful free and goal to Danger, just called the umpires cheats. Cox was not given a second and the ball was behind him between Danger’s legs. Commentators also too scared of losing their fat contracts to call what they are seeing. I told her that the umpires are at least consistent. Geelong has had the umpiring their way at that ground for 125 years.

The “Cotton On” umpires are back with 5 frees to nothing for the “ I got a farm” Cats.
  13. I agree, I prefer monosyllabic utterances.

Hawks are doing a fair bit of sniping. Back to the unsociable style that the Coach loves.

That’s quite amazing 3 years later.
  16. He has ability and kicked 4 in a game for the Eagles. Foot injury will keep him out for a month or so. Can play forward or mid. Certainly adds to our depth if nothing else.
  17. Well we did qualify for Jai Culley courtesy of Carlton.
  18. There is no confusion, they know their salaries down to the last dollar.

Maybe it’s because he can disappear in games. Sorry Picket only joking. You know I have been a Jeffo fan since we got him. Hope the wet comes and goes before the game to give him a chance to show his best. I must say though I am surprised we picked this game with the weather predicted to debut him. Good luck Jeffo and take a Valium before the game Picket just in case.

Surely not with 20 mls of rain predicted and possible thunderstorms. Can’t be too top heavy. I think possibly HL, XL, AJ and HS.

No one is saying he is not a fantastic player, but rather that the overall cost of getting him and keeping him may be too high and not the best thing for our list.

We seem to have the same thoughts, as you posted as I was typing.

While i thought Harley was the best junior i had seen, his likely cost of $2m a season and probably 2 or more first rounders plus players, could really unsettle the club he goes to if he leaves. Question: How much better incrementally, will Reid be than our Langford next season? I am now of the view that it will be all the eggs in one basket, going after him and would be detrimental overall, to a continued developing of our list and improving culture. Maybe not as good as Harley, but there will be good players to be found each year without the massive cost to the list.

I think a big tell is that we kept 34 available, we took a 33 year old back up ruckman, we drafted mids and a 194 cm journeyman, back up ruck forward pocket and we didn’t take another key back, a position Kalani also plays. We didn’t draft or trade in another young ruckman or key defender, areas of need in the coming few years. That suggests at least, that he or someone else of that type, has given us a commitment to join the Dees. Then again!

Adam Simpson said he doesn't do the extra little things that are needed to be a top player.
