  1. Can I use that defence with the ATO?
  2. Enjoy the raclettes, cheese tarts, fondue and Toblerone.
  3. I was there too. Smith was selected in the Interstate side for the big V and after Matthews cowardly knocked him out with a king hit from behind and he was carried off on a stretcher unconscious, he missed the state game the next week. I am pretty friendly with Steven and he was the first interview I did in the magazine I started for the club called Demons World and then I moved his admission in the Supreme Court, as a Solicitor, a couple of years later. The guys around me wanted to kill Matthews after he hit Smith. Matthews years later got charged by the Police for assault, after knocking out Neville Bruns, with another cowardly king hit at Geelong.
  4. The king hit on Smith by Matthews was disgusting and he should have been charged by the police. The Giles one was only slightly less disgusting. Great footballer but absolute thug.

Can’t see him leaving the Giants. More chance of getting Derksen if we still want him and he wants us. Read somewhere that their VFL key forward is doing well.
  6. JVR will be fine. We know he can play, he is just having a poor season. Windsor is having a poor season too, should we dump him?
  7. Maybe just a lot of missed chances to score goals.

We are also the worst team in the accuracy stat for teams playing against us. In other words teams playing us don’t miss, while we generally miss.
  9. Whatever floats your boat.
  10. I would be very happy for you to say “ I told you so”.
  11. I think I might be.😉
  12. Not for long.
  13. Yes, just kick goals and not points, where you then hand the ball to the opposition, often for a 2 goal turn around.
  14. Politics getting in the way, but it will happen. The two major parties are committed to the new franchise.
  15. Will Day, Josh Weddle, Jai Newcombe, Watson, DaIcos x 2 for starters.
  16. Viney was hit with a round arm to the face after marking and the aggressor jumped off the ground to deliver the blow. He got one week for medium impact. Viney later gets concussion and misses four weeks. Obviously MRO doesn’t know Viney will get delayed concussion, but how can that blow to the face be medium impact? The MRO and Tribunal and AFL footy department are a joke.
  17. No, MRO graded it high impact even though no concussion. Mills force front on to a small guy was harder and more dangerous. I am happy with suspension as long as they are consistent which they rarely are.
  18. Then so is everyone else who does the same, but that isn’t what has been happening. Only one more week for concussing him, under the guidelines, really?
  19. There you have it. Mills left the ground and took a small guy out front on and a week as no concussion. AJ came from the side and jumped up and bumped a 188cm player high and also no concussion. How can AJ get more than Mills? They tell us it is outcome based, except for no name players from lower profile clubs. So if he knocked out NWM he only gets one more week, seriously?
  20. Agree with that, but my point was which players since say Langdon, have we recruited from other clubs, who are regular 23 players. If you look at Hawks, Pies and Cats for example, they have added good players to their lists. There are FA’s who you don’t need to spend your draft picks on.
  21. Corrected it thanks.
  22. If consistent then one as no concussion. Think Callum Mills smashing Spargo for one week.
  23. Correct, he was playing VFL the second time we added him and has shown some form, but again was recruited more for depth.
  24. Some of the posts on here are truly hysterical, like the ones that suggest any AFL game is a percentage booster. I posted to one such poster that those are the games we regularly lose. Bingo!
  25. It continues a recent tradition of recruiting nqr players from other clubs and then being stuck with them, Billings Fullarton Sharp Hore Schache Hunter and McAdam recently, while other clubs like Cats, Pies and Hawks for example find several who become regulars, Who have we got since Langdon that has been successful, I can’t recall any?
