I think if Ah Mu gets a chance at some stage, it will be to have him for the future, as he clearly needs AFL development. However he is a bull of a kid, with some talent, who if he improved, is a ruck/key forward type, who has just incidentally, got a talented, younger, taller and faster brother, who is in our NGA, not that it is the reason you would look at Tairon.

Yes it is strange we haven't heard anything on Luker's injury. Someone suggested to me that your favourite player Jeffo should be tried as a key back. That could help his game and give him confidence for a move back to the forward line. Your opinion? I think AJ could be tried as a key back, as he seems to have what is needed to succeed there. He might turn out to be a good choice, but at this stage imo he is clearly a talent choice over need, but as always in JT I trust.

So if we make a GF and Stengle for example played for us, there would not be any discussion about his current absence, or his past issues. The media plays favourites, always has and always will. That being said, we just have to win games and get ourselves back to relevancy.

Of that list, our need would probably be more for the worst player on it, Ah Mu. I note that Jacob Blight, whose type I now see as a need, wasn’t mentioned. Wish Derksen was still there, as he has potential and would fill a hole on the list. Tom Mc likely retires at the end of this season and I am unsure about Adams. Wonder if there is an available potential key back somewhere out there. I would also have had a chat with TC, who will also probably retire at the end of this season, who could still play with Casey anyway and allow us another pick now or mid season

I like the last bit that Caulfield is our only focus and the words “sorting it’s Caulfield plans,” which indicates to me that we are going there, but with some details to be finalised. That is probably as encouraging as we are getting at the moment. If we haven’t got a club update by late March, I am possibly attending a MFC supporter group function with King, Guerra and Steven Smith, who I have known for 50 years and I will definitely pump him and Guerra for any info that can be shared with DL.
