  1. Agree it was a power play. A play to show that uncontrollable, undisciplined footballers are not welcome in a team sport, that requires everyone to pull in the same direction. If you think that a fractured locker room is not worth fixing, then so be it. He was my favourite player, but he was hurting the team, not helping it. Remind me where we finished the last two seasons with Clarry and Tracc still on the list. Yep we could have kept them and maybe finished 14th again, or gone the other way and brought in 6 new kids and 4 from other clubs. I know what I prefer. Also, King hasn't lost a game yet, so I hope that answers the first 6 words of your post, as silly as they were. You will enjoy life and sleep better, getting behind your club and not knocking it all the time, though I admit it has left a lot to be desired in the last 4 years in the management area.
  2. He is a true Demon now.
  3. Brilliant.
  4. Cuz looks physically ready to go. McAdam does look stronger than I can recall.
  5. Yes, he won't have to travel all week. Surf Coast to Casey must be heaps of fun.
  6. I think Toumpas was coming off a hip injury and plenty of Demonlanders didn't want him and wanted Wines. Toumpas was a dumpy looking slow player and Wines was a 188cm midfield brute. Anyway another bit of spilt milk.
  7. Insurers are expert with the 3 D's policy, deny, delay and defer.
  8. Doesn’t SHE? Have the new players been briefed on avoiding the Ghosty hug at training?
  9. Yes, how could you have missed that? Yes, how could you have missed that?
  10. Sounds like Casey will be used for games primarily then, not training.
  11. My comments are that good they should always be repeated.
  12. Have met him many times and he is a wonderful, modest, friendly true red and blue bloke.
  13. Jack Watts was a better player than Toumpas without question and was acknowledged as the best or second best player of his ND year. Toumpas had his doubters from the beginning and many wanted Jack Viney’s good mate Ollie Wines and were very upset when we chose Toumpas. But spilt milk now. There is no doubt that after an few obvious picks each year, the job gets much harder predicting who will be a good AFL player. I never saw Kozzie as he is now, but JT might have.
  14. So true. I just predicted we would win the first test in two days, as well as predicting the winners of this year’s Melbourne Cup and Cox Plate.
  15. Don’t tell me the Premiership cups are going in Fantasy land.
  16. We would be building east of that oval and I have no idea on the second question, but looking at that area currently I would guess no, as it doesn’t look big enough to support a VFL crowd, but who knows. I don’t know what the future proposal for Casey is either. Maybe others know something about this aspect of our future plans.
  17. Agree as I dislike the word. Had never heard it until a few years ago when it started to be used in the AFL.
  18. Do you mean Max at 34 in the 2009 ND?
  19. As JT's Mama always said.
  20. No one will be another Gawn. He is arguably the best ruckman of this century and probably a bit longer.
  21. It is the only stand alone option of the three that have been mooted. The first to me always seemed impractical. The buildings can be totally fenced off from the rest of the area, excluding the ovals of course, with it's own separate access to the adjoining streets being Neerim Road and Queens Parade.
  22. That's what I thought, but I have been corrected. Its back at the 2nd option, which is FAR better than the original one, in size, access, shape and transport options. While the 3rd option is close to Caulfield station, maybe it was too close to the MRC facilities for their liking. The 2nd option, the South east Corner, is about the furthest from the grandstands and MRC facilities and maybe that is all for the better. It is also far from the school, not that they were concerned at all, as they are totally with us and supporting us and are excited by the MFC as a neighbour and that is from the horses mouth, pardon the pun. With the amount of overseas students at Monash Caulfield, living in the newly constructed plethora of apartments, the MRC membership and to a much lesser extent with the school, we also have the chance to grab some new supporters and members, with maybe a joint MFC/MRC membership being attractive to some.
  23. What I like from those highlights is the speed of his decisions and ball use. As we all know AFL is played at blistering speed and that is one of the hardest parts of adjusting to AFL senior footy. Give him a couple of years to develop and hopefully we get a versatile tall.
  24. Well done 6. Great photos once again. You have captured the artistry of Kozzie, ducking, weaving and changing direction.
  25. South East Corner, closest to where the ovals will be built. That area is close to Glenhuntly station and if you walked from Caulfield station, through the Eastern/closest tunnel to the ovals, would be less than 5 minutes.
