Saints gave offered 7 for Flanders. Giants have 12. We will pay some of Clarry’s salary. We will absolutely get 12 for a player who is miles better than Flanders and will end up on a cheaper salary. 4 B & F, AA, Premiership player. What has Flanders done, nothing? 32 what an absolute joke.

Then we have a problem.

There has to be a handful of non NGA or F/S players that will be good players at a bare minimum. We will take one selection at the least. I would be shocked if 40-50 players aren’t selected in the ND.

Humphrey is not Tracc, not close to him.

You don’t want the 7 they get for Flanders that’s already apparently been offered. 6 and 7 sounds better if you can’t get Humphrey or another very good player as part of the deal. We have to remember that Tracc is the highest credentialed player mentioned in trades this year. This isn’t us throwing him out, it is him wanting to leave. With Ablett Jnr he will be their biggest player trade and they need to get it done Hopefully Humphrey says yes to us and we will get a good deal. Him and an early pick 6 or 7 gets us another good young draftee. We must get acceptable value.

Not that I wanted him, but now that he is a Dee, I am looking for the positives. One positive you didn’t mention, is his ACCIDENTAL clumsiness, that sees him falling on players, or bumping them in contests and ACCIDENTALLY hurting them. Btw, I don’t think TL hates bad hairstyles that much either and I also don’t think he hates Tracc’s recipes enough to trade him. Traccc is clearly being traded because he wants to go. I hope not. 2nd round and nothing else imo would see us paying very little of his contract. If we are paying a chunk of his salary we are looking at 12. Anyway we will know soon enough.

We are not doing Clarry for 32. Crows and maybe others also have interest in him for their midfield. We are talking one of the best contested players of all time, 4 x B and F , AA , premiership player, with if we pay some part of salary isn’t expensive and is only 28. That is not pick 32 in any world. I expect 12 or maybe 32 and a decent player to be the deal and I also think it will be done well before the end of trade period.

No ifs, Tracc and Oliver deals will be done and that is your midfield clarity.

If Flanders knocks us back we need to get Humphrey. I am sure that knowing players were leaving and our dislike of this draft, we must be talking to other players, as we might only use one pick in this draft and we will have list spots to fill. I don’t think we would be planning to get Fullarton/Schache VFL types again.

Agree we wouldn’t take 7 For Tracc but what is the combo we would do. We would do Flanders and 6. Humphrey is more than 6 so IF we can get both to nominate us it would take Tracc and some of Oliver deal added to get it done. I will say it again, if both boys nominate us we will get it done. It could be up to King to convince both boys to select us. At least we have a midfield with plenty of room now and they get to play together if that interests them. It is getting interesting.

What we need is Tracc to choose Suns and they tell Flanders it is Dees or you stay with us on current contract money. They can even pay him a bit to match or better other offers. If they want Tracc they need to find the deal. Then there is Humphrey. If Clarry goes, to say the Giants, we pass on pick to Suns if we can convince Humphrey to join his team mate playing for his former Coach in our midfield.

But 50% of the Cats 2022 team weren’t in the GF side this year, so they have made changes.
