We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
I looked for the reaction of two groups of Dees after the game, the oldies and the younger guys. The oldies were grinning from ear to ear and you could see they were thinking we are not out of this season yet. The younger guys were hi fiving and you could see them thinking we are a good team going places and that they belonged. Completely different changing room obviously, to the one during the run of losses. These types of wins give everyone belief, including the fans and bring the optimism back to a club.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Thats a strange analogy.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
Freo has destabilized us twice with Jacko and Kozzie and didn’t seem to be overly concerned about us. Whether we get Jacko or not, I also am happy for us to destabilize Freo for a season.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Loved the big smile on Tracc. That is not made up and he appears very invested. That win was very important for the younger guys too, as it gives a sense of belief and they can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
How do you know Ardu wants to stay in Melbourne? Certainly great and helpful if true.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
If we continue playing like yesterday there will be no issue with the Coach.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Is Spargo playing on Zorko? If he is, his first half is doubly pathetic. 7 possies with probably 6 turnovers. Zorko has had 18 creative possessions.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
But signing an extension would be a clear statement from Kozzie and that would be good for a lot of reasons.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
I have thought recently that Goody is really a player manager of sorts and the tactical side comes from others in the Coaches box. If we improved the tactical side, there is no reason Goody couldn’t stay on as he is clearly supported by the players.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
While I was thinking we need a new coach and FD, I was also thinking of Goody’s connection to many of our players and maybe future players and changing our Coach may actually cause more harm than good.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
That article and Goody's absolute confidence that Kozzie is staying ( not surprising from a coach of course ) and the fact an extension has been offered, may see Kozzie signing up with us for a longer period and putting these "leaving stories" to bed. That would not surprise me at all.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs Southport
Hard to disagree.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs Southport
That's true, except it has been the problem for at least 3 years and we are actually getting worse.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs Southport
Sestan, Adams and Howes all look ok, Kentfield a couple of saves but the rest, oh dear.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs Southport
Now Culley from 20 misses. Meanwhile the Sharks go down the other end and goal again and again and again. 5-3 to 8 behinds, shameful football. Jeffo finishes the quarter with an out on the full.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs Southport
4-15 it is beyond pathetic. This year Billing 1-5, Woey 0-4, Culley 0-3 and someone I forgot 0-4. Seriously these are still senior footballers. Not even talking about the missed handballs and kicks. 18 AFL listed players playing for us at our ground. Lever turns it over and then Jeffo misses from 15 out.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
And if we have it's not working. More of our younger players have gone backwards than improved. Why is that?

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
That can be ok if we have others that are.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Agree that style is moronic and deflating to a young player. How hard is it to tell player to lead into space and for the guys with the ball to kick it towards him and let him run onto it.

Harley Reid
Farms and Cotton Shares would be a great start, but of course they are outside the cap.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I think that is possibly true and he may want to leave. We need to assess our development of younger players.
-
Harley Reid
He was the best Junior I had seen, but that was playing against other boys his age. He has played some great footy in his first year in the AFL, but now seems to be just a player and I am unsure if he is treading water until he changes clubs. He seems to have some issues and can be put off his game easily, but again is he simply not trying as he is unhappy. I think he could be a bust at $2m a year with all the pressure or he could get back to his best, who knows. I don’t see us getting him anyway, so will watch from afar. We need a bit more than just one Harley Reid and hopefully we can add some more talent and improve our development of younger players which I think has regressed. It would be helpful if we could add some mentally strong players who don’t panic when kicking for goal.

Harley Reid
Harley wants to be a farmer, or own part of Cotton On, or both?

NON-MFC: Round 10
And probably McInerney. Walsh kicks after the siren has gone and runs off the line and no worries.

Reasons for our Inaccuracy?
These are the elite footballers in the country. It is their job. They practice and train for 10 months a year. There should be no excuses. An occasional miss ok, but not the [censored] we are seeing regularly.
