  1. Does he want to be a farmer?
  2. Five clubs pitched to JJ, so I don't think he would have accepted a nothing contract. Swans have cap space with Buddy, Hickey and a few others leaving.
  3. I think he would if we got a very good offer.
  4. Laurie will stay unless someone comes with a good offer, as we are probably turning over too many this year. If he is not a regular next year I would imagine he will look elsewhere.
  5. We still need a backup ruck and maybe we go to state and country leagues for a player.
  6. I don't think there is such a pick. It's start of 2nd round or end of 2nd round, which would be about 44-45, after after pp's and matching. I think we are a chance of start of 2nd round, which could be about 22-23. Probably need good money and few years, already is younger than most FA's and a premiership player, which will help.
  7. Another quiet weekend coming up.
  8. From being drafted, let alone how many more to be ready, if he is even good enough.
  9. Won't ND 20 end up about 26-27? We either get that for a young Premiership player, who has walked through FA, or we get end of 2nd round, which will be about ND 45, unless I am badly miscalculating. Do you think 45 is fair compensation for JJ?
  10. I think we will be after 11 without giving up 13. Any picks we have or get, from and including 13, will imo, be up for bundling in trade, to get higher picks than 11.
  11. He is young and will get a reasonable contract, so he is not 3rd round. More likely beginning of 2nd round at worst.
  12. Could be just diverting. Anyway, surely we are not losing so many players and just looking to draft young replacements. McAdam in and then we could have another 5-6 spots. If we got talented kids I wouldn't mind, but it doesn't sound likely and of course we need that extra mature ruckman.
  13. Can't see McLean being cleared after his last game. Amartey is a chance, but no star and probably behind Petty and JVR atm. Don't know anything about Buller.
  14. That would be their assumption, as they actually know nothing. If they did know anything, the teasers would be flying.
  15. That's a formidable lineup. Wonder why they targetted him then, other than Mills possibly missing a large chunk of 24 season.
  16. Why would you presume a low salary? He would have had a few offers.
  17. If possible, absolutely. Is Dylan Stephens a FA, or will he be traded? If a FA, that opens up some deals, as Swans won't want to lose their chance of maximum compensation.
  18. Footy Classified is unwatchable on Wednesday when Eddie hosts. The Pies dominate the show and it is putrid TV. Enough is enough.
  19. In less. Would complete our forward line, with Jefferson developing at Casey.
  20. I am stunned to read that Goldstein is heading to Pies, who have Cox, Cameron and Frampton, when we basically have Max and no other mature ruckman. We must have someone in mind.
  21. Wow this place is really jumping.
