  1. McLean just signed for 4 years with the Swans.
  2. Possibly. It is scary to possibly give up so much for Reid, if we in fact can get him..
  3. Later picks give points to GC to use on NGA players.
  4. I won’t be baited, as I am having a whale of a time seeing the Dees in the finals, while the minnows have missed out and I just need to shark some tickets now.
  5. Another quiet weekend for footy. Maybe this weekend will be better.
  6. Darcy Parish | AFL - Essendon Football Club Despite this, the elite midfielder still averaged 31.3 disposals and 6.1 clearances – both ranked elite amongst the AFL. 7. IF he has done an ACL and if that means he will retire, I think our culture will see that he will get another year's pay of some sort and then be delisted, at a time we can replace him, say to upgrade a rookie. That way he will have one year of income and we will have our list place. The rest of the list and all the player managers would be watching on and that will enhance our reputation as a club that puts it's players first and continue to drive our culture of "we are all in it together".
  8. Absolutely.
  9. Well we know they always get 3 from soft Curnow free kicks for a start.
  10. Like some of our goal kicking.
  11. If WC want Curtin and can trade 1 for another pick that still gets him and they get a bonus pick or two, that is clearly better for them. Curtin is a WA boy at 195 cms who can play midfield and key forward or back. He is apparently their main target. If nobody trades with WC, they use pick 1 on him and that is it. How we get Reid, if he is our main target, is up to JT convincing WC to trade. The dangers seem to be North and Hawks threatening to take Curtin. Curtin would have to convince those clubs, he would do a JHF in 2 years and that it is therefore their risk to select him.
  12. You said they have nothing to trade with, “ next to zero trade currency” and when it is shown they do , you then say “ oh they won’t want to give that up”. Pick 8 is not next to zero They do have something to trade with and Dogs would want 8 and Cats can do what they like, keep it or pay for Smith.
  13. Concussion protocol is 12 days and Thursday game is 11 days. If we get a concussion it’s a big issue.
  14. Only real problem is if we get any concussed player today, Thursday would put them out and the AFL would know that when arranging the games. We would have to get Friday, as we finished higher than 5-8 teams and AFL would be seen to be openly manipulating a game. An AFL official has already cost us possible top 2 place.
  15. That wouldn’t happen. The Dogs struggled to beat Geelong’s VFL side last night. It was probably only match fitness of Cat’s younger guys in the last quarter that gave Dogs the win. They look an unhappy team.
  16. With LDU, Zuurhar, Wardlaw and McDonald back in and more young talent drafted and Brayden George to come they will improve rapidly. Grundy would be number one ruck and they have super coach. He has apparently bought a new house in Melbourne and Arden street would be a lot closer than Kitty Litter stadium. He might be interested if asked.
  17. Pick 8 is a good start.
  18. But they want Curtin, he is their Reid. Any deal needs to ensure them of Curtin. 2 plus 16 would do it.
  19. 11th. Whately discussed it and said it would be a scandal waiting to happen, if Dees had concussed players. He also said the game should be on Friday anyway.
  20. Yep it is exciting, Reid or multiple good young players, what a wonderful problem. We also have a real chance at another flag.
  21. But you were posting about McInerney’s goal tonight and that was conclusive.
  22. It wasn't inconclusive. ARC said you could see gap between ball and fingers, it was conclusive.
  23. Quiet weekend this one.
  24. Newman or McQualter will get Tigers job.
