CASEY: Rd 14 vs Geelong
Granted I missed bits of the game, but never saw him touch it.

Agree on all but Dunstan, think he butchers it badly. I wonder if Turner can play the Hibbo role. Not quite developed enough to play on gorillas. I think Howes could offer more than Spargo or ANB on a hff. with his 191cms and good disposal.

Are we banged up again?
And then compounded it by not moving him forward onto Stewart, when Cameron went down. Who is responsible for match ups, surely not Goody on the ground?

If you watched Dunstan yesterday and his terrible disposal, you could not add him to our already poor disposal. Kicked it straight to a Cats player on several occasions. Gets the pill, but turns it over constantly.

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Agree. It’s not a split second act either. He moves over to Viney, who is on the ground kneeling, holding his shoulder and grimacing in pain. He lightly bumps him with his knee and then bends down and pushes Viney with both hands. Viney falls into his sore shoulder and us seen in more pain. That is a dog act designed to inflict further pain. I am really annoyed we didn’t attack Stewart and stick up for our most courageous player. We lack a ruthless edge. As for the MRO, weak. That was the perfect incident to send the message, to leave vulnerable, injured players alone.

Are we banged up again?
Maybe, but we are not helping him. BBB back will help a bit.

May is playing well. Max will atone. BBB ran freely last night and imo will be back soon. Grundy had a head knock. Kozzie imo has had the flair coached out of him and is now trying to imitate ANB and do nothing but pressure. He is often in the wrong position and has caught ANB’s fumbles. He should be set alight and told while pressure is important, so is his flair, other than trying to take mark of the century. He at least kicked a couple this week and that will give some confidence. Next game in the Alice could start his revival.

I see him subbing twice more, in games we are reasonably confident in and then finishing his career with us at Casey. I think he will sub against Giants.

Melksham has played himself into sub for game 99 for Dees.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
We were told that we played at Geelong because we had a small membership. That is not the case now with over 65000 members. We have played there,as that chart put up earlier shows, more than any other AFL team, while some have never played there. We know it’s a fixed ture, but surely we could demand a few years break. Dimma complained about a rare visit to Marvel. Get on the front foot and change it, as it is now an 8 point game every time. Cats should play interstate clubs and smaller clubs there, avoiding more fans being unable to get in.

That is true, but delivery is also poor. There were several chip kicks into the F50 available last night, which were continually ignored. I don’t understand why. We then bomb and are out marked. Forwards not leading or making space is another big problem. They seem to always start behind and then fail to at least spoil. Our small forwards are putrid atm and are continually beaten and out marked by taller defenders.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
I have a good idea, play dry weather footy in the wet, it always works. Don't get distance with a kick, which might get the ball coming quickly on the ground inside F50, giving the small forwards a chance, no, handball until you lose it and it goes the other way, with that quick kick forwards. Bloody dumb. Great coaching, great decision making.

You know what also isn't tolerated in wet weather in suburban footy, over handballing. Look at the kicks to handball ratios of both teams and then look at who won. We tried to play dry footy in the wet and we have lost all 4 wet games and one very humid wet ball one. Dumb coaching or footballers or both.
