  1. Really enjoyed listening to Anthony Hudson cheering on Essendon yesterday. Glad they were so ordinary at kicking for goal.
  2. I think that Roos analyst is a lot more susinct. Melbourne are missing game winners and onfield leaders. Like Garry Lyon did for us in the 1990s. I am hoping that a Jack Viney, Hogan, Brayshaw, Watts or Petracca develop into these roles. But maybe we need to buy one.
  3. Stretch will not get dropped, Roos and the MC never have dropped players who do the 1%ers. (ie look at home many tackles and shepards Stretch has had in the past two weeks).
  4. Spencer only one injury away from playing. Not the same for the other two
  5. Yes, but I think we have a more honest analysis when Melbourne loose.
  6. Maybe he left because he was not encouraged to stay. The counter offer might have been very small.
  7. I believe his kicking style was never bad, it is that he under or over kicks it when under pressure or makes a bad decision when not under pressure. The classic example was the last game he played for us against the giants was after he took a speccie, he kicked a nice kick to a team mate in the corridor, only a giant player read it well and picked it off. Then he was involved in a contested ball only for him to (literally) sit down and then the Giants kicked a goal. It is interesting that the Magpies are using him as a distributor of the ball. It must mean his has reduced the number of poor options or the Magpies are out of options. Maybe they could do with Heath Shaw.
  8. They have been thrashed by teams 16, 14, 11, 10 & 9 in recent rounds. They did have hard early rounds and a had good game against the Swans; but they have not been competitive at all against teams not in the 8. I understand you point, but they were competitive early against the better sides.
  9. I agree with Brown, Brisbane fixture is a disgrace, they should not be playing AFL teams, they are not to that standard. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-season-2016-jonathan-brown-brands-brisbane-lions-fixture-a-disgrace-20160613-gpi8g7.html
  10. Why would Hibberd or Hurley want to leave, didn't Rohan Connolly write that Essendon are going to win the next three premierships?
  11. That's because the other R is silent ?
  12. Yes it just add yellow to complete the picture. http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/does-this-colour-turn-you-off-20120816-24bf4.html
  13. ducking the head, droping the knees is NOT staging. Staging is where someone acts like they get hit and they have not been. I totally agree with Clarkson, the interpretation must change to stop the encouragement to try and gain the free, because someone is going to get hurt. I find it amazing that first gamers are doing it now. Shows that they get away with it at lower levels too.
  14. That is because the backs are "zoning" and not playing their man from in front.
  15. I don't think he is out of form, he got to the right spots; Garlett does not like slippery wet footballs, can never get hold of them.
  16. Watson did a great job over interpreting everything. I wonder why he failed as a coach....
  17. Oscar played his best game against Hawthorn. Still a long way to go; and with a slow wet game he did OK.
  18. It will be the players not on that list that other clubs will look at.
  19. I only watched the first quarter, and Howe missed two targets by miles by foot. Did do a great kick-in though. After 100 games I cannot see his kicking improving, but he is only 25 so there still is hope.
  20. How does he manage to do it every week, when he played his first AFL game today?
  21. Dawes to the back line, great idea. Just need to find a slow forward who can't jump to match him up with.
  22. I have no sympathy for Richmond, but it is interesting how they managed to play finals quicker than Melbourne by recruiting a decent midfield, but fell away because they failed to add depth to it. I remember Hardwick stating that he really wanted the Melbourne coaching role because of the talent they had in 2010, (but missed out to Dean Bailey). A lot has changed for both clubs since then. Anyway hard to see Hardwick being chosen for the next Tigers rebuild. Peggy O'Neal is probably trying to get hold of Roo's manager atm.
