Interesting point, over 5 seasons he averages 5.5 marks and 1.63 contested marks per game; which is better than Jack Reiwoldt (5.39 & 1.57). The marks per game would be inflated by playing in the backline. Playing as a forward, he will find his run at the ball blocked a lot more. He has kicked only 0.8 goals per game (deflated by playing in the backline). Maybe Collingwood have been reading money-ball. I only really see Howe kicking most of his goals after marks; so I doubt he will get to the 30, but it will be interesting.

Really, in the modern game how is playing on the wing any different to half back? I also believe that he will be back in the back line when his returns as a forward don't eventuate as they hope.
