    Is anyone else getting calls from telemarketers claiming to be from the MFC? Why do the MFC sell our details to the telemarketers? I have had 8 calls already on my mobile?

    I would like to see: Spencer come in for Smith and play ruck/forward, Watts to take Smith's role in the backline; Tyson in for Vince.

    He should have used Frawley as an example, looked good at Melbourne but conceded a lot of goals at times. At Hawthorn looks ordinary , still concedes goals at times but has a premiership medallion.

    I like Col, he is a great character and has a bunch of talent, but watching him last week get sucked out of position time and again, I could not see him return to play AFL. This injury may motivate him but I think his time has passed.

    Actually Vanders goal kicking and kicking in general, improved last year. Viney, although not that bad, has not improved in accuracy but he is getting more distance now than when he started play AFL.

    I am not sure you can say that, because a survey of AFL players does not agree with your thinking... I would consider a survey of Demonland would have similar issues; but not saying it would be "flawed"

    Tayla Harris is a star; but strange that she is nominated as as rising star. How she cannot win it; I do not know... Lily is a ball terrier; and if she can improve her kicking, she could be better than Daisy.

    I am sure that it still would be difficult to get it our legally (but not impossible like it has become), but it would stop the situations where 1 guy is trying to get it out and 2 or more are stopping that or even pushing the ball back into the pack, But you bring up a good point, when a player steals the ball in a pack, is the player originally with the ball then incorrectly disposing it? Maybe the solution is for the umpires to police incorrect disposal; but then they cannot consistently get the prior opportunity aspect correct......

    I believe that by stopping the third man to the contest holding the ball in would allow the ball to come out a lot more. A rule could be where the 3rd 4th etc. man must keep on their feet and only try and extract the ball.

    This is no different in using all the 30 sec when kicking for goal, then some players then pass it to another player who uses another 30 sec.

    Good point; every coach has his favourites, and also read Stan Alves autobiography on how Barassi treated him when he forced him to retire (not that there was any issues there, just that Barassi was very ruthless about it).

    Darren "sat out" 3 years with the Demons and 1 year with the Bears and was traded to the Hawks for pick 10 when the Crows came into the league. He was tied to the Bears, so couldn't go automatically to the Crows and he understood that the SANFL standard was going to drop once the Crows took out the best players.

    Bernie (and Salem) will welcome Hibberd and Melksham next year so he can move back into the midfield. Bernie was playing back because Salem was unwell and Watts finally came on as a forward, Dunn was out of favour and thus Melb needed his kicking skills.

    The go home factor is huge because we draft the players at 18 yo. We benefited from Tyson and Sam Frost wanting to go back home. The academies are great because we are bringing in new talent but given time I hope they are no longer needed because the state based comps are good enough.

    Teams that I think may be interested in Dawes: Richmond Freo Brisbane Carlton Hawthorn (if they don't get Vickery) and all VFL sides.

    Amazing talent, steals the ball from packs like a Bont, holds his feet like a Gary Ablett (both of them) moves around like a Koutoufides and kciks the ball like a Nathan Buckley. Just needs to learn not rush his kicks and handballs; but he is going to be a ripper.

    What no votes for the bye round? I though the Melbourne boys were on fire after that disappointing effort down at Geelong.... The AFL should consider two split bye rounds so we can draw this event out even longer. #rivetingtelevision.

    Maybe if he had grown a little taller...... Seriously great effort by Max, 5 more than Goldstein and I doubt a ruckman can win it for being just a ruckman, needs to kick a forward's bag as well.
