The weather was cyclonic! They said it was actually their best ticket sales for a home game all year, most people stayed home though.

I'm not a massive fan of either player TBH but I doubt we will see too many blokes get dropped for 1 poor game anymore. Garland was OK against GCS not great but definitely serviceable despite the odd brain fart. I'd prefer Grimes than either of these 2 though, seeing his consistent form week in week out at VFL level.

Agreed, ridiculous to suggest dropping Hogan. To add to your stats, 5 of his marks were contested, the whole team had 8 in total He also had a team high 4 score assists! Yes his shots at goal were poor, but dropping him is laughable actually!

A bit of overreaction going on here. Yes his shots at goal were very poor, but he actually played a decent game of footy otherwise. 10 of his 17 possies were contested, took 9 marks, 5 contsted (team high) and led our score assists with 4. Remind me how many games he has played again? Give him a spell FFS

Yep makes perfect sense. It was simply a reality check today. They are a very good side and every chance of playing in a Prelim if not deeper! Their skills and pressure were the difference, and the pressure was the reason we fumbled so much! Imagine them with all their injured players in, we may have copped a 10 goaler!

I know its hours away from kickoff but it has turned very dark here in Melbourne after a beautiful morning. If the forecasted showers come thru I cant help but think a slippery ball will work very much in our favour. We played in slippery conditions last week and they have played in pristine dry conditions all year under a roof. The sky will spook them!

Had a perfect view of the match centre wing today. I knew we were in trouble at half time only 2 goals down. A lot of our players looked absolutely spent late in the 2nd qtr. Stkildas pressure was impressive and the run destroyed us. I dont think i have seen so many loose forwards in a game and nothing done about it, how the coaching box could not manage to negate this was extremely poor. So many effortless goals to The Saints, we seemed to have played a totally different game plan to the last 3 weeks. One can only hope that it was the short turnaround between matches that hurt us, it is the only explanation I have for how tired we looked so early in the match.
