  1. Lot of Man Love for this bloke, has a red hot go as he knows that he his spot in the team has never been guaranteed, but i wish we had more blokes that present to the ball carrier as good as he does. Would only be behind Hogan and Howe as our best contested mark. Keep up the great work Pedo, hope there are many more games in the red n blue.
  2. Williams could kick some big hauls on his day, and be unsighted often as well! Handy player on most occasions. Chiron was your classic Northey protege, very limited ability but hard working n just had a crack every match he played... Not many though from memory.
  3. Warren Dean was instrumental that day, as was Simon Eishold sadly!!
  4. McDonald has to go to Schulz, He is far more dangerous than Westhoff currently. Dunn gets Westhoff I'd reckon, agree with the others.
  5. i wouldnt have thought so. We now appear to have Watts n it looks like Howe back in the forwardline which i think is where they both play their best footy. He may have to reinvent himself as the pinch hitting ruckman/ forward role which he aparently loathed,to have any chance of getting a game. His form has been average for quite a while now!
  6. Really happy for Fitz, great game! I hope he makes as a regular in the 22. Seems a very humble and likeable fella too!
  7. Not many have mentioned Bernie Vince. Pantsed Bonts who has been on fire this year, held him to 12 average disposals and kicked 2 great goals himself in the last with a lazy 11 possessions for the qtr , 26 for the match. Awesome effort. On a side note, wed have to be the loudest 30000 crowd in the comp...great stuff today.
  8. saw it live n just watched replay. Perfect hip n shoulder, probably right on 5 metres from the ball, so it was fair. But yes, it was brutal!
  9. Think he has to, thought he was terrific today and only 1 or 2 glaring mistakes. Took some solid grabs under pressure today Grimer. I thought he was not in our best 22 but would love him to prove me wrong and todays match was excellent i thought.
  10. Geez, i thought that running back with the flight was the best thing he has done in his career. He hurt himself from that contest n had to come off. I watched him closely and as he was getting his breath back i saw the phone get handed to him. I guarantee u Roosy was thinking the same thing as me.
  11. Just rocked up , small crowd on the cards , membership tent staff with nothing to do! Not overly confident but The Bulldogs coach of last year is now on our side, could be a lit closer than we think!
  12. Quite ironic, but they are playing bruise free footy this year! Loving every minute of it!
  13. Great article...how the EFC media fanclub have turned WADA into the bad guys and EFC into the victim is just extraordinary in this past week.
  14. And he has a decent crack in the ruck too. I Like Peders, thought he was very stiff to be subbed last week too and made the most of his chance today... I expect to see a lot more of him for the rest of the year now especially on the back of both Dawes n Watts form
  15. yeah he is ordinary. The person that told me about Jamar is rarely wrong.... Makes sense though, Jamar whilst not great so far this year is a far better option.... Maybe they want match time into Spence who knows ? Russian will retire soon you would think!
  16. I heard a rumour disciplinary reasons .
  17. Roos just said on MMM that Watts asked to be dropped this week as he feels he has been letting the team down in recent weeks. He has his haters but I reckon that is pretty honourable by Jack Edit spelling
  18. He played quite well in his limited opportunities last year, will be a player thats for sure. Mods can u change to Zak please, before the spelling nazis get a hold of me....cheers!
  19. Had a ripper preseason and is in great condition and bulked up 4 or 5 kgs. Has been among the best in the NEAFL in all bar 1 match this season, including 2 BOGs. Yes their midfield is rock solid and hard to break into but im surprised he has not had a callup....maybe with Heeney injured he will get a chance this weekend. Or is it possible he is on the outer like Aish at the Lions? I hope so! Surely we will be in his ear by now.
  20. Gerard W has certainly changed his stance in the past 48 hrs compared to his pro Essendon bias of the past few years. Tonight he opened with facts he was given from a source with intimate knowledge of the investigation, in reference to Hirds interview last night and the said "spreadsheet" in particular - points of note......among others - - There was No spreadsheet to match the description Hird made reference to on the show last night - The spreadsheet they do have was commenced in the middle of year .....peptide programme had long already been in operation by then. - The spreadsheet did not quantify injectables - Internal EFC Email regarding thymoddulin surfaced well into the year, again, well after the program started.
  21. Not too many positives last night but one thing that stands out to me is the clearances. We matched them on the night for both centre and stoppage clearnces which is a pretty good effort against one of the best in the business. Problem is what we do with it once we win the clearances, we still turn it over far too easily and our skill level is bog ordinary at times. This will improve in the coming years once Petracca, ANB get games, Salem gets thrown in and Brayshaw continues his impressive start to his career. Great to beat them in the 2 nd half but i think the slog they had against the Dogs last week had a bit to do with that, but it is good to see we did not drop our heads which would have happened in the past few years. End of the day, pre match id have taken a 6 goal loss against the Bloods its about what i was expecting anyway. Cross underated by many on here, we might need him to play for 2 more years before our mids are good enough to push him out.
  22. Grimes was on Mayne for 3 qtrs who had his best game in years. He also had 4 clangers from his 10 disposals. He is no longer best 22. That is why he was dropped. Its quite sad to see his demise as he has been a favourite of mine for years, but i feel his papers have been stamped already and if he is not traded he may end up delisted.Looking forward to seeing Stretcher, hope he has the same impact that Brayshaw has had in his first few games!
