I went to the Heartland training session at Toorak Park tonight, a great initiative by the club for the 2nd year. They barely trained 25 mins but one thing that stood out to me was how much they seem to be enjoying themselves, and enjoying each other's company. Lots of laughs and piz$taking, cockiness as you mentioned but serious and intent when required, seems like a great environment to be involved in. Better times are coming, we just need to remember how young this group is and be patient, the tide is turning!

He was interviewed at the Heartland Training session at Toorak Park, no idea what he said BUT highlight of the day for my 2 little boys... Jesse walked passed us on the way home and said bye to the boys and got about 100m in front of us and the boys kept yelling out "bye Jesse Hogan".... Then in the semi darkness I see him turn around and kick an Auskick ball straight to us which we took home. Reckon they will remember that for a long time and I'm sure will get some milage at school!!

I was at the game 38....if someone made me watch that game again they`d be off my Xmas card list immediately. I`d rather watch an indoor plant grow.

Yeah i saw him cop a few hits and even dish out a bit that i thought would take the stuffing out of him, but he just soldiered on. He is becoming a very dependable player who now gives his all which could not be said in any previous year he has played!

Well Bub I'm at the airport and currently I am seeing as heavy rainfall that I have ever witnessed and I've lived in the tropics .... Not sure if we will be getting outta Dodge any time soon. thankful it's happening now and not they the game!

Agree with most of this but the game was well over at 3/4 time. im at the airport on way home from game and I have to say that was one of the ugliest, boring games of footy I have ever sat thru.

There were many people on here underwhelmed by the recruitment of Kennddy and Bugg just quietly... Have some faith in the new FD, they gave barely put a foot wrong the past 2 years

Quick shout out to Dawes as I thought he would struggle to find a place in our best 22. He was very good yesterday. Stats won't show the amount of running and body work he provided in contests. Id say it was one of his top 3 games for the club.

I thought he'd come in and play 2 or 3 games and be not quite up to it. He earns his spot each week already though! He is pretty slight in build but is very hard at it for his size, does not shirk when he has to put his body on the line. It is clear that have given him a license to use his wheels as soon as he gets the ball, he will be an extemely damaging player in 30 to 40 games time. just love watching him run.

I noticed in the Casey game on the weekend Grimes seemed to come off very early in the last or maybe even late 3rd and didn't come back on... Did not look injured, I wonder if he is already been considered for the trip to SYD due to the 6 day turnaround ??

He was great, but he clearly shanked the 2nd, was right in front of me.... He laughed after he kicked it!

I always look forward to Fri night footy, but last night I didn't watch a nanosecond. Disgraceful scheduling!
