That sounds like Rory Sloane talking about Sam Blease. They came through juniors together.

Its confirmed. We are now Demonology.

We had booked seats in the John Gent stand. We were on a mission for Robbie to play finals.. It was tight at 3/4 time and some jerk come on over the PA gee-ing up the Bulldogs crowd. But at last half there were Demons it seemed at the time. Genuine tears and hugs after. Dunstall kicked 9(?) down at the cattery to get us in and then the roll was on! Smashing the Swans and North before that other tear jerker out at VFL park. We had so many come out of the Woodwork that September. Loved it.

The only thought I had was that I bet we didnt consider interviewing anyone else.

There seems to be plenty of posters who just Blue Sky mine on the Trading Thread and have given up on the post matches and current crop. I am happy to go into how good it is all going to be but, we aint done here yet. Those that still follow this years efforts are to be congratulated.

I dont believe we could have been more welcoming and helpful than we have been to Liam. I hope he is delisted as I don't believe he will be able to knuckle down under the new coaching and training blitz we all expect the next Pre-season. He has been on a decent wage and will be able to fund his defence. He has made a heap of good contacts. I believe the club has gone the distance and more for him. They will be there for him even if he is not on our list. I don't know if he is guilty or not but it sounds like everyone there on the night were stake holders. I'm surprised it got past the committal but I assume the Magistrate decided it was too big a circus to dismiss and figured he would let it go to a higher court. That is disappointing as I expect the case to eventually be dismissed. I would think LJ will be unable to have a decent season next year. We can't allow the club to chase rainbows.

Robbo was a really bad kick at goal for a couple of years before he got his action correct. Admittadly goal kicking is not field kicking but IIRC Robbo came off a low base and became quite a good shot.

Most of what you have written is crap. To reply to the heading, yes. I'm dudded and I'm angry. I don't do tips anymore and I feel like its cricket season again. I don't blame my relatives cause they barrack for essendon. I pay for melbourne Football club and have been through hard times. I having trouble gearing up yet again. My relatives are not members. More fool me. I'm nearly over it.

What a goose of a thing to say.

On the Couch - Brock talks about 'tanking'
Damo replied to jumbo returns's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is an excellent choice as a sign-off. You should apply it more liberally. -

Im hoping but assuming the BP accusation from Ben-hur is a joke. Im fearful that the Riley accusation is true. I think it might be. Im no lover of Mike Sheahan but he is disgusted in the melbourne football club and in his words 'the worst thing is, they are irrelevant". He is spouting the same bile as many a true supporter does. I would have him on board at MFC. How about that? I believe there are a few supporters that are too objective and they take things too calmly. They are cold blooded. Last Thursday was the 1st time in at least 35 years when I wasnt interested in who we picked. Ive sacked footy tipping too, cant bear it any more. All the same it is going to get worse before the the draft. We have to wear it. We need to have hope we will rise again but right now, im thinking that light at the end of the tunnel may be a light globe. -
Liam Jurrah - committal hearing in Alice Springs
Damo replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Liam couldn't hope for a more empathetic magistrate than David Bamber. Very aware of all the difficulties LJ has faced. Bamber is from Melbourne and a Demons supporter. -
Not sure if you are the real ted fidge etc.. Any time I see a good torp by anyone with short legs I think of Ted Fidge.

My pet hate is "he should of..."

Broken Jaw last year at the end of a pretty good Pre-season. Broken back (2 vertibrae) at the end of this Pre-season. I had a similar injury to this one Easter(surfing not Footy) and I was lucky to do my laces up that winter. he still isnt over it. He hasnt helped his cause either Its got to be said, but dont forget he was good enough to be in the international squad last year before he created his own FU. Keep him, for mine.Im backing him to finish the year off strong.

Did you used to be called Ivan from ivanhoe?
-
I saw that. I reckon he did that because the ball wouldnt come up and he had chased it for 10 meters already. He is happy to contest the man but he is confounded with an awkward bounce. He is a hard doer but I still remember how "lucky" we were supposed to be when we got him Pre-season from Brisbane. They must think we dont do our homework...

He has taken that observation to heart Ralphy.

I find it very difficult to barrack for a team that plays Joel MacDonald. I find it hard not to growl when I see Jack watts jogging outside a contest looking disinterested in the 1st quarter.
-
Well since Alan Johnson for passing, but Jakovich and Bennett have claims too for Distance and Accuracy.

TJ is at the Galleon in st kilda today and as he is with the president of Chelsea heights, I am guessing he might have another game for them this weekend. He played for them 2 weeks ago.

Woudnt miss either the banner or extraneous national anthems Would swap both to go on the ground after.

Dismayed how Petterd's career has downturned. My hopes for him have finally given way. I shouldnt be surprised but I am.

There is at least one family I know who had a board member at that time who now dont follow Melbourne. Sad.
