Anyone who is a decent kick and has a second to sum up options would kick to a player either on a lead or who has space n front. At Melbourne it looks like they kick to a pack and that makes it extremely difficult for forwards. If you are a decent enough kick it is natural to look for a target. As an example, one thing I like about Laurie (admittedly there are other issues) is that he finds time to look up in front of him before disposal. Jack Viney looks. Clarrie who has more time than any, doesnt look. Tracc occasionally. K9 Brown looks and thats why I think he will make it. Kicking to a position is only occasionally a good bet.

none of the umpires are consistent on this rule

Poor to put Bill on Blakey
-
Im unimpressed that the balls have been so slippery. the umpires can surely dubben them up a bit.
-
The umpires call was a goal and it was over ruled. Wrong!
-
Gee Im a bit unhappy with the Kayo feed. Might have to go with the standard definition on Channel 7

They havent said Swans will wear arm bands for RDB, just Dees. They [censored] should, he got them going up there.

As far back as Rory Sloane you mean?

I actually thought Schache showed more last night than Id seen before. His disposal is normally quite good and he buttered up for a few marks and ground balls. Tommo I also saw encouraging marks and disposals from. Not saying they would be 1st 22 every week but I was quite relieved they held their ends up, in consideration of my expectations.

Plenty to discuss but Windsor can find another gear and kick straight. Kicking straight at that acceleration is rare.

Its not coming up as being televised on Kayo.

It definitely seemed that Richmond would find a short target inside 50. We didn't seem to be on the lookout so blazed away. I'm not complaining but I was looking for a point of difference.

Bombing it into the forward line should not be 90% of entry
-
I liked verrell, k9 and Caleb. I didn't like bombing it to the pack, I thought that was a no no this year. I like ANB but someone has to tell him the handball into the ground to bounce up into a team mate hands hasn't worked since Robbie.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 12th February 2024

I must point out that 10 seconds reflection allows me ample time to push Hi Honey Ho, The Real Thing and Gypsy Queen forward... A long way forward. 68 next week is my only excuse. -
I would much prefer the use of this thread to be for new injuries. The closer we get to the end of preseason, the worse it is for possible heart break. If we can not have foot or knees issues in February we can be very hopeful of a great season. Sorry to be a sourpuss.
