This new rule will not improve football. Players will tire sooner and their skills will suffer. Expect more mis-kicks and mis-handballs than normal...It will ruin the spectacle for ever.....

Greatest player of all..... I can't recall the exact date... late 70's i think ..we were playing Essedon at Windy Hill and Robbie kicked the greatest ever goal in the history of the VFL / AFL ....He picked up the footy around the wing i think and bounced the ball a number of times and baulked 7 or 8 Essendon players and kicked the goal.... The goal was never captured on film as only the main games were filmed in full those days.. however i was there and the goal was so great that even the one-eyed Essendon Supporters all rose and gave him a a one or two minute standing ovation after the goal...thats unheard of ! Anyway he was asked to appear on 'World of Sport' the next day to just talk about the goal....thats how good it was! There will never be another Robert Flower....

He showed plenty yesterday...his third quater was excllent. He is a safe mark and he has a deadly right foot and he even kicked it some distance with his left.... I think when he slipped over a few times yesterday you could sense that he got down on himself especially when he could hear the crowds reation on the wing near the members....but to his credit he kept trying....he is getting better and will get even moreso with each game.

If his bones are too soft then why are they playing him Casey?...why not just send him to Uni for 4 years until he stops growing...

Poor excuse ..Carl Morton has also been growing during his time at he club...and guess what he's played close to 50 games and he's only 20! Time to play Watts...not as a key forward obviously..but let him roam around the wings and forward line....He will NEVER get better playing at Casey....

In - Watts and McKenzie Out - Petterd injured and one of either Martin/Rivers/MacDonald. Bail reinjured his quad on Friday at training and is not available.

None of the above inspire as forwards. Watts must play...all pre season... the mantra from the Club was to get game time into players and for them to learn to play together...If Watts is not selected this week then there is something drastically wrong with him..... I don't want to hear this crap about him still growing etc...Look at Morton...he's been growing as well and is if fact lighter than Watts yet they played him and kept playing him....

Gosch's Paddock will still be used by the Pies until they get their training ground built... We will be using the newly turfed ground just beside the Bubbledome which is closer than Gosch's paddock......

Joel Macdonald has now replaced Rivers ....With Garland back, i really don't see a role for Rivers in the backline unless we have injuries as he is limited in what he offers these days...
